Why aren't they Interested? This is a nice list of people interested in getting the intake. Have they seen this list?
 
until the people on this list are actually willing to put a deposit it wont be enough to gain interest, especially since after this list they might not be able to sustain sales
 
I have a very good contact at KN Filters. I just called him for you guys, and is going to look into why there is no kit in development yet. For those that don't know, Stillen buys their filters from KN. Maybe not the whole track, bit the filter media is KN.

My contact will get a hold of the head of R and D and get back to me sometime this week. If there really is an interest, my contact can make it happen. He made it happen years ago for my Supercharged Frontier. So again, if there is genuine interest, and KN sees an actual performance gain possible, it will happen.

The interest is there from Fxers, but there's a lack of interest from companies because of the lack of significant hp gains.
 
Yeah one thing that manufacturer's are doing so much better is the air flow. There hasn't been too much increase, if at all, to new exhausts for some time now. And the stock intake's are flowing so much better now.

One thing I made sure to express to my buddy, The FX50 and FX35 is a performance vehicle. They currently have the new QX56 on the development list. Partly because it should be a drop in from the Armada. But we'll see what comes out of this, at least it's a small step.

He was telling me of the advances they have done in Big Rig filters now like MACK, Kenworth, etc. Their development facility is right across from CAT, and they go over and actually use their dyno for big rig trucks!

I just got off the phone with my contact as K&N. It is a no go. The main R&D guy feels that it's not really a viable project. He also told me, that despite how we feel, that the R&D guy thinks this is not really a performance vehicle. So, at this time, there is no project KN filter kit for the fx50 or fx35

So what's the deal here, should I get these going for you guys or what? I got some measurements from Jonas on the 50, 35 is not much different. This is very do-able. Just need to order some parts and get someone over for test fitting. I knew you guys were waiting on this possible group buy, so I didn't want to make them if they were going to be available from somewhere else. PM me if someone is really interested in being the first.
