warranty?

I am having trouble with my cats, heat shields, and the bracket that holds up the exhaust. I have a 2007 Infiniti FX 35. For some reason Infiniti will not warranty out the parts. The heat shields are practically gone, and the bracket is rusted almost completely through. They tell me that it is not covered because it did not rust from the inside out. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, what did you do to correct it?
Thanks,
Karen

warranty question

Has anyone had any problems with rust on the exhaust system of the FX 35 all wheel drives? Infiniti said they were not under warranty. The heat shields are almost completely gone, and the bracket that holds the exhaust on is rusted through. What did you do to correct it?
Thanks
Karen

I did, and they wouldn't help me either. Looks like I'm up a creek. They weren't even nice about it.

it should be covered out of cost, too early for an 07 FX to have this problem, try out a different dealership and make some calls to Infiniti.

Have you tried a smaller infiniti dealership that does not do as much business as another dealer, sometimes those dealers are willing to work with you and take care of ur problems.

Could try, but it clearly says 'not-covered'
Maybe it's time for a nice aftermarket setup

Ask Infinti USA for a goodwill repair. Sometimes they do, most of the time they do not. I asked once for my drivers seat bottom and they laughed at me. BMW USA always said yes or made a compromise on all the prior Bimmers I asked for the goodwill repairs on.

I guess you cannot blame them for not helping, but it would be nice if they decided to help by at least paying for part of the costs.

Excellent suggestion OR if you wish to keep the OEM set-up look for someone in your area who has upgraded and has a stock set-up on hand. I bet there are many stock exhaust systems with low miles just laying around...(like the one in my storage =))

Yep there were a couple here. One complete in good condition for 50 bucks last month on CL. So you should be able to pick one up locally for a fraction of the cost of an aftermarket system.

Shoot I gave the exhaust shop my stock exhaust and it was in excellent condition.
