Ipod connection

Can anyome tell me if this can be installed in an 06 fx with sat option. While having a remote started installed I tryed to heve the installer put this in but he said that there is no where to plug it into behind the head unit? I read something about installing this in the rear of the fx?? Im not sure......???

With all the right wiring you should be able to connect it into the SAT connection in the back of the car. I have mine under the seats in the rear and the wires are running in between the rear spare tire and seats as well.

I have also seen a connection to the radio direct. There you would have to unplug the cable that runs for the SAT and do the same process. you would just place the interface under the center console and run your wires from there.

It should be some were on this site. just look around for the pics and DIY.

So the ipod needs to be in the back of the car or can you run a ipod dock style cable to the front to use iphone?

if you have the rear dvd-get a $5 headphone jacdk to rca cable plug. plug it into the dvd player hit mode to select the aux input and it plays through that you can run the cable beside the seat to your iphone/ipod

So you don't need the DVD player option right? Only the Sat Radio?
