Has anyone with a 2nd generation FX tried to powdercoat the stock 18" wheels? Im not a huge fan of the wheels but I think they would look really good in like a gunmetal color similar to the GTR wheels. I also thought about purchasing a set of the stock 20" 1st generation wheels because I like those more than the 2nd generation 20".
 
Yes I do have stock 18's thier flat black but you can re paint them any color you want the rims condition is pretty good no chips or anything just a little surface scratches but if yout paint over it they'll go away and ill sell it for a really low price

how does 349$ sound! all 4 of them including center caps message me if your interested!

I had my stock 18s powdercoated 20% semi-glossy black last month. I'm probably going to take some pics of my car tomorrow, so I'll put them up here when I do.

The semi-glossy black turned out real nice, it's almost flat black but has 20% gloss (duh). It made the rims look a lot bigger than the stock silver. This is temporary, until I go with 20s or 22s. (21" tires are ridiculously expensive)
 
i have seen pics of 1st gen 18's powdercoated and they didn't look bad, it's just the rims looked very small. i don't think 2nd gen wheels can top the look of 1st gen wheels. i posted a pic on my reply above but took it off coz i thought that was not relevant.

I think the semi-gloss black hides the smallness of the stock 18s. It's by no means a perfect look, but it works great as a temporary setup until I go 20s or 22s.

Hello i am lookin for the gunmetal stock 20s that come with fx35 for my i30 please if anyone has a set of them for sale plz email me ASAP thank you
 
There are no gunmetal factory color stock. You'll have to paint or powdercoat them gunmetal. I just sold a set of chromies. They pop up once in a while. Check infinitifx.org too
 
Could you do a full side shot of the vehicle. It does look great and I agree that it's a good temporary job . I will probably do the same thing till I get the wheels and tires I like

Those rims look perfect on your fx. Great choice on color.
