Hey guys,
I own a 2007 FX35 AWD, I recently installed a flowmaster muffler, the sound was awesome BUT i lost alot of power in the bottom end :embarrassed: ... so i reinstalled the stock setup .. apparently i was told that i lost too much back presure

Now i just installed a
Stillen: ztube kit, standard pulley set, ceramic headers
and a motordyne 1/2" plenium

I fear that the header is useless now that im running on a stock exhaust set up, on the otherhand i donot wanna loose power on the bottom end too

Im stuck between the stillen exhaust or HKS legamax (with midpipe) but im not sure if the AWD will cause problems during installations :embarrassed:

Will i loose power at the bottom end if i purchase one of these exhaust? which one is the best?

Oh BTW i want to place an order for front ksport 13" BBK's (8 piston) but im not sure if i need to purchse anything with them ....such as spacers?... if so what are the best spacers that i will need? 20mm? 15mm?

I have a qeustion for fxlr8 (sorry if i didnt spell it right)
The OZ ultraleggera rims that u currently have will fit on the stock tires? do u think the BBK kit will clear? (btw i freakin love ur car)

SORRY guys i wrote toooo much but i love my car and dont wanna take any risks

Welcome.

1) Stillen is higher flow than HKS, so I would go with HKS if you are afraid of losing too much bottom end torque. Stillen is true dual and HKS is not. Either way, you will want to do a dyno tune or get a Technosquare ECU flash (http://technosquareinc.com/nissanflashlist.htm)

Stillen may need some minor modification (some needed it, others didn't). HKS is 100% bolt-on and no issues with AWD. It does not come with a Y-pipe so no AWD transfer case issues.

2) Ksport 13" BBK will need spacers for the front. Most likely about 10 mm, but to be safe I'd get 15 mm or even 20 mm. You can find templates on this forum, I believe I posted them somewhere.

3) OZ ultraleggra's will fit stock tires size. No spacers are needed for Akebono FX50S big brake kit, but I am thinking for Ksport you will need at least 5 mm. You really need to just take the template and measure/test fit.

I wouldn't recommend a flowmaster exhaust on a 35.. I have one on the 45 and the sound is awesome and I think the 45 engine is just big enough for a flowmaster. but I like your mod list it will be awesome when it comes together.

Thnks ALOT chadman13, u may be right that i would require spacers in the front ... the fact is, i was looking at my rims today (this may not be new to you guys) but my wheels are pushed inside, the fenders seem to big... so i guess i will get 20mm for front and rear in order to level them out :smug:

I guess i will go with the HKS legamax setup, seems alot better + the brand name :smile (2):
What did u mean by "not losing too much bottom end torque"? does that mean i will still lose? if i conduct the dyno tune, will the ecu try and compensate or somthing? (ahhh toooooo much stuff to consider :S)

As for flowmaster, i LOVED the sound but i lost power :(
My car took alot of time to warm up as well .....

^Yeah, I realized that after I replied. Sorry.
I may have lost a little low rpm tq, I don't know. I don't drag race it so if I did it was nothing really noticeable. If anything I noticed an increase above 4500 rpm, which is more in line with my goals for the fx.

Yea i did that once and got yelled at a few times ..... i place an order for the HKS exhaust ... i will post back soon on the results (hopefully i wont loose too much bottom end) ... i decided to keep the stock cats in order to keep some level of back pressure
