I guess dealers aren't so anal about replacing things under warranty after all

Took my FX a few days ago cause the aluminum kick plate/trim piece in the cargo area was scratched real bad. I don't know how it happened, but it just started happening over a period of time, until the point it looked bad. I told the advisor that I wasn't happy with how easy it gets and scratched and banged up. The piece is kind of expensive though. It's like $130 something I think. But their giving it to me under warranty, even though they consider it wear and tear. Anyways he ordered one, and I'm going back next week for them to install it lol.:tup:

They also replaced my cracked mud flap before that I caused, and the busted out foglight that a rock hit on the highway for free under warranty.:wub:
 
when a dealer has made a fortune off of you & still has the potential to make more then they are very willing to throw a few trinkets in to make you happy, if they haven't made anything and/or see not much potential to make anything from you then there going to just blow you off, just business really...
 
mine says no, can't help sorry every time i show them the window trim lol. but then i don't go there for service at all but to buy brake fluids n stuffs like that.
