  • SERVICE INFORMATION The power folding outside rearview mirrors can be folded manually. If a mirror is folded manually, the gears for the power folding function are disengaged. To re-engage the power folding gears: 1. Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. 2. Using the outside mirror power fold switch; fold the mirror in/out (close/open). If an outside mirror is folded manually and the power folding gears are not re-engaged as described above, customers may report the outside rearview mirrors vibrate or shake slightly while driving. The outside mirror assembly may also be slightly loose when checked by hand.

I had this issue and the dealer readjusted my mirrors. That fixed that problem:tup:

whoop72- did you should them the TSB? What did they actually replace? Both actual whole mirrors and then they painted them too? I'm having the same issue, but only really notice it on the driver side when it's windy on the highway, but if you wiggle them by hand, both move back and forth, not sure if that is normal.

Wow I can't believe the dealer actually replaced the whole mirror assembly. Mine had the same problem effected by this TSB and all the dealer did was take apart the back of the mirror and tighten up the mounting bolts that holds the mirror onto the arm part part of the mirror the swivels. After that no more vibrating or shaking mirrors. Any dealer that says the whole mirror needs to be replaced it stupid.

Just took mine in. The dealer is going to replace the mirrors. They ordered them yesterday and I should get my car back today.

Shouldn't of replaced the mirrors. All the problem is loose mounting bolts.

Noticed a little shakiness in both mirrors. mentioned it to the dealer today when it was in the shop. He said, no problem, has seen it a few times. They tightened up the mounting bolts on both sides. They are tight now.

See, no need to replace mirrors. My dealer has performed this many times.

Same dealer fix on mine. Just tightened 3 screws located under the bottom cover and everything fine!

My drivers side mirror is really loose, moves back and forth pretty good about 40mph on highway. Will take in to dealer tomorrow.

is it the mirror or the hole housing ? because my housing was loose but I just had to remove the cover from the inside and tight up the screw
