I installed GARAX D2S 8000k today.
It is D2C,but fits fine.

Then i when i start up car, they flicker then go to blue color then back to white and after 10 seconds they work normal with no flickering

Any ideas? :eek.:

It's the bulbs.

I used the Garax bulbs before, and they started to develop a slight flickering problem on startup, then would stop after a few seconds of operation.

That's why I bought the 6000K D2S Morimoto bulbs. Two months I've been using them, and not one complaint and they are of OEM quality like Phillips.

Oh and just use D2S like your suppose to!

Not sure cause most places recommend a max of 6000K. That's why there isn't any 8000K Morimoto bulbs, and only a max of 6000K. I had 8000K before and the visibility is horrible. 6000K eventually color shifts to pure white with a hint of blue in it.

check n see if u installed them correctly . make sure they arent loose or anything. take them off n install them again see if that works . maybe u need relays

WTH why would he need relays lol. The car comes stock with HID's. The system is already made to support it. He's talking about his low beams, not the foglights. That's a whole other subject.

oohh ok sorry , i dont kno much about the 2nd gen i got a 1st gen ,just saying a suggestion. for some reason his top lights are flickering and not his fogs . his fogs got a ballast and his top lights are using the factory system . maybe the stock system isnt supporting it like it should

Anyways bro just get rid of the bulbs. I had the same problem with that brand, and you can't tell me it wasn't a coincidence that mine were both flickering too just like yours.

Forget 8000K and get 6000K. And btw, don't you have 6000K fogs already? If so they won't match. If you match them, it will look cleaner!!

Got rid of 8000k. GARAX is poor built quality. Nothign near even Morimoto, and I am not saying about Phillips. I put stock Phillips back :-)

By the way i don't have hids in fogs anymore as for some weird reson they were making my parking sensors fail when fogs on.

Yeah I know what your talking about with the parking sensors. When it rains outside and I have HID foglights on, it makes the front right parking sensor go nuts. It has something to do with the HID ballast frequency making the sonar go crazy. But I still live with it cause it only happens if it rains.

Your fogs HID affect parkign sensors when wet till it gets dry as well ? :alien:

It only effects it when it's wet. When it get's dry it stops making it go crazy.

Nope no way to fix it.

The ballasts from the HID's you put on the foglights cause the sonar frequency to act sensitive to rain drops touching the parking sensors. That's why it stops when the rain is gone.

Here is a video of that issue:

YOu know what's funny? It is my video.I recorded it.
I did it,as i was very upset to see it happenning after I installed HID fogs :-(

And no sulution yet :nerd (2):

hahahaha thats you bro? I found that on youtube:tup:

There is a solution though. You should try to mount the ballast further away from the parking sensors. You should extend the cables further, I'm sure that will fix the problem. Just buy those cable HID cable extensions. I think I've seen them on ebay before. Mount them further away.
