I was feeling adventurous knowing that I am picking up my boosted FX today. I got a wild hair up my ass and pulled the trigger on one of the sherwood dash kits. I might have been a little high when I bought this, but I'm giving it a shot, damnit! I think with an all black interior these could be really nice.

Probably won't use every peice - depends on how they look to me during a test fit.

I'm actually impressed with the material quality - it isn't exactly what I expected. All the print looks very good. Sorry it's upside down.

I ordered the Cherry Charcoal a few weeks ago. They fit really nice! Just take your time because once it sticks, it'll stick, lol.

Haven't tried to install anything yet. I just got the FX back today and was looking at the brushed aluminum trim. Looks like I might have to remove some of it - on the radio bezel and around the vents. But then other pieces look like they don't come out so then these just go over them?

There's a diagram where each piece goes, but no instruction. Guess they figure 3M tape is pretty self explanatory.

I'm willing to accept failure - it won't be the first time. If it doesn't look good I'll take it off.

Sorry for the topic switch but why don't we have a burnout video yet on the "jumbo boost' thread? :confused.:

So I have attempted installation on some of this kit. Let me put the disclaimer up front. All of this can come off, no problem. Like I never had it. Knowing that allows me to be more daring - I can always take off too much.

I started by looking at the diagram of where all the parts go and taking just a few pieces at a time. I'd sit in the car and hold each piece up to pick one of three categories. Yes, no, maybe. The maybes get taped up so I can check it out for a little while.

So after a few hours of doing this, I have absolutely decided to use a little more than half of the total kit. Here are all the parts I am NOT using:

A couple of these are FX45 specific. One is for a ceiling DVD player. And yes, I decided not to use the center console huge piece. Seems like a waste but it was too much. I've had the brushed alum for so long, it's a HUGE change for me. But totally in a good way - I've been really liking the difference these past few days.

I'm not completely finished. I have decided to get my center console either wrapped or upholstered in black, leaving the trim pieces you see. The trim sometimes looks orange when I use a flash. Need to try to take some natural light photos. Anyway - I think it will look great with the contrast.

Still plan on doing the stereo surround as well but that will require taking off the brushed alum first. All the other pieces I installed went right over the old panel but this one can't because of all the thin parts.

Anyway, all the door panels look good, IMO. Honestly this is like a "bolt on" interior kit. Not custom, but most people don't have it. Wrapping with 3M is probably a less expensive alternative - unless I can sell off the extra parts!

Looks kinda Euro. They're really into color dressup out that way. Been in Zurich for a week or so, & modern color splash is everywhere in product design & architecture. Not sure about the vents, but that center pillar might be interesting. BTW, had my first sighting today. Black FX w/ Black 22's chrome lip. It was pretty exciting to see. No other FXs yet. They're pretty non-existent, yet it's a car lovers wet dream here downtown. Hot rides everywhere

Hmmmm not really feeling it too much. I think it would of looked better if the trim pieces were color matched to the outside of the body or done in CF instead.

Please get rid of that steering wheel cover!
