my friend found a set of brand new 20" rims in the back of his garage closet so he will give them to me for $400 Canadian + dinner... :wink (2): so I just wondering if this rim will fit my 2010 FX35
Here is the spec I found on the rims
dual 5 bolt pattern 10x114.3/120
Size 20x9
Offset 35
Hub 74.1
does this rim fit my FX35 without any spacer?
I am planning to get the spacer to get the flush look on my FX35
how thick is the spacer ?
where do you guys get your spacer from? I want to do it right at the start
Can I run these rims without the TMPS sensor? as I only use them for 3 - 5 months top out of the whole year in Canada anyway
will 275/45/20 tires be OK with these rims?
what is the recommend tires for our FX35 on 20" rims?
I am from Canada so import tires from US will be too much hassle for me so i try to find tires that available in my town or Canada only....
thanks in advance for all your great infor

Yes they will fit, for a flush look you might need a 10-15mm spacer. 275/45's will be fine.

I am going with 275-45-R20 YOKOHAMA PARADAS Spec-X tires , a shop in my town can order them for Canadian $1050 (tires, mounting, balance, install on the car)
so I should not get an after market TMPS sensor because I read in this forum about the after market TMPS sensor being programed and the OEM sensor will not be able to re-program later
what if I get a set of Infiniti TMPS sensor to use on my new 20" rims?
can the 2 sets of TMPS sensor be able to program with my FX35?
I really do not want to drive around with a light on the dash with a brand new FX35
I called and asked my Infiniti dealer service guy and they said aftermarket sensor can be used on my summer wheels, the car can only see a set of 4 sensor at a time so they have no problem re-program ($65 labour charge) the OEM wheel and tires when winter comes.
so who is right here??
I trust people with past experiences like you guys so help me to finish rims and tires mod quickly..
thanks

Aftermarket sensors work fine on my first gen but you will need to get them reprogrammed at the dealer each tmie you swap rims. Our cars don't have the ability to retain two sets of TPMS at a time.

It does not matter if you have OEM or Aftermarket sensors. If you have two sets, you will have to re-programme them each time you change over at a Dealer fee.
That is why many of us don't bother.

One of my local dealers would waive the TPMS reprogramming fee if I was gettin gmy oil changed by them. Since I started changing my own oil, the last time I went in for this they charged me a prorated fee. It was around $35 or so.

You can also try a local Nissan dealer to see if they charge less. They use the same Consult tools needed for this.
