FX is Stalling after short ram intake install, Dirty MAF?

im going to make an appointment at the dealer next week, should i head there with SRI or reassemble my OEM intake??

Just install the oem intake back on and see if that resolves the stalling problem. But if you were to take it to the dealer I would recommend putting the oem intake back on or they might not want to touch it.

I bet it will stop stalling with the oem back on there. Is the maf plugged in? Is the maf going in the correct direction? Have seen a handful of maf bungs beins welded on in the wrong orientation.

When swapping the piping did you reconnect all the hoses?

So the car is stalling, and all you did was disconnect the negative terminal since you did not have a security torx to remove the maf?

now its not stalling any more but its loseing rpm when i start, the rpm goes down and goes back up hardly to 800,
ok before i did any intake mod i disconnected the negative battery, then i noticed i needed a torx, so then i put the negative back on to go purchase one, at that point it stalled, then when i purchased it and actually did install by disconnecting and installing the short ram, it happened again, so i thought the battery connections were bad the positive and negative so i cleaned them and sand papered them and disconnected them overnight

so now same thing the rpm goes down to 400 and goes back up after i start the car

So the car is stalling, and all you did was disconnect the negative terminal since you did not have a security torx to remove the maf?

theres one hose right? yup thats in place

ya basically at the beginning i did that without any mods and now i have the intake it still does

is the vacuum tube under the intake plugged back in? do you hear any hissing noises? from what you are telling us, all you did was disconnect the battery and the problem came about?!

ive heard many stories how its not okay to clean it and etc

Lots of people have messed up their TB while cleaning it, that is true. However the damage is not a result of the cleaning itself but a result of improper handling of the TB WHILE cleaning. I would guess that the majority have done it with no issues. I've done it twice; Once out of necessity and once just to be anal about it, making sure to get every little spec of dirt and grime. The best advice I've seen is to treat the TB plate like it's made of paper thin glass.
