Looking for a little help in Lamens terms (tried to used the calculator and left me even more confused)... After seeing some of the vehicles at the :iS: Meet last week-end. I know it is time to upgrade on the rims. I am looking to go 22's and want to get the flush look some of you guess have. I was trying to get rims that allowed this look without have to get spacers.
So, I guess my question is what offset/width combination will work to achieve this look. If I go 9.5 or 10? From what I can tell, I probably am better off with wider rims vs. the 8" stock (correct me if I am wrong).
I am not lowered (which will change after seeing you guys ride last week as well) so some advanced tire size selection would be appreciated as well.
Because i am getting ichy, but I am broke...I was looking at these (see link) as a jump off to rims..

Any advice would be appreciated..Thanks

Link doesn't link to a specific wheel. Offset would depend greatly on the width of the wheels you choose. Anything tirerack sells (with the exception of some of the OZ 3 -piece wheels) will not be flush without the use of a spacer. The rack tend to be a little careful when it comes to extreme fitments (aka flush or poke).

you can pick my rims up and trade for the stock rims + cash =]

Hey, I saw these..Not big on the large space in the rim spokes. Don't have a BBK. Thanks though.

They will be tucked in. My 22 x 9.5 with +35 was still tucked in. Maybe a 295 tire will make the tire more flush with the fender. However if you are going to run 265s then you'll need spacers to get them flush.

Thanks SC..so the larger the number, the further in it would be sounds like. I see you have 10.5's now. What's the offsets? Is it flush?

I think when tirerack say 2 they meant 2 rims not 2 set. Usually the ones on sale are on sale because they don't have a complete set

Interesting..when I put it in the cart as a test run, I said four rims. It didn't give me any negaive feedback..Thanks for the heads up. If I make a move, I will contact them to verify.

Here is a good online calculator I got from Turbo.

Play around with the offset and number, you will see it change on the wheel cross-section diagram. It will make it very trivial to understand.

Nice, that did help...I think I understand now..Thanks

909 and N2FX, thanks for you input. Gonna wait until the road trip is over to select unless I see something while I am gone. Maybe I can find a good deal once I make it CC.

I think you got it from the offset calculator, but incase you didn't...

The smaller numerical value the positive number is the further away it is from the hub/centerline of the vehicle. Thus +10 will be further out (towards the fender) than a +50. This continues through until you get to the nexgative offsets which start to go up in numerical value as it sticks out more and more. No one runs anything remotely close to negative offsets on an FX though, so don't worry about that.
