nice, somebody jump on this and lead the way...you will be famous!!! :thrasher::band:

i signed up infiniti of ft. myers and miami to be bc dealers/installers as well. that has to say something for the quality of these products. soon you will be able to walk into the dealership and pull the trigger on these.

i figured i would throw this out there for the new guys as they are a little bit different then the 1st gen's. The owner of bc is excited to see all the new involvement in this community and he will continue to give everyone top notch support if needed, i dont think anyone has called him yet ;)

Josh -- that's awesome.

usually they would charge $250 for an install.

they just want to go and document one with pics etc to give you guys directions on the install.

we do what we can to make you feel at ease after your purchase knowing you've picked up a quality part and you won't have any worries in the future. bc's a great company to work with.

That's a great price and clearly shows how plug and play the BC install is. I have spoke to numerous shops in the Seattle area and they just don't understand the simplicity of the BC-CO install. The pricing I have received from five reputable suspension shops has ranged from $425.00 to $975.00....craaazy.

whaaaaaaaaaat! for a 2 hour maybe 3 hour job? even @ 80 dollars a hour that is crazy (labor rate for some shops can be more or less) but if a shop charges less than taht for springs I cannot see why that would be so much.

Keep in mind that it is not just the labor of mounting the set. That is normal as eacht suspension. Most time goes into adjusting the height and dampening. To adjust the height you'll have to take of the wheels each time wich isn't a 2 second job on our fx.
Ok you might say i can do that myself, but keep in mind there are a lot of people who can't or just won't.
Also it often happens that after driving for a while and the whole deal sits in, they want to change it a bit still.......little lower or higher in case of speed bumps. So often it has to be changed again wich for such pricing is done under service.....or a little amount compared to the labor then.
And final don't forget aligment wich often is included.

How i know it works like this.......i sell these things here in the netherlands :wink (2):

Wow, that's bad that you've gotten those consistent prices ... once these are ready to go for 2-Gen's (which sounds soon), I'll be doing that same research. I'll let you know what I'm able to find out too, wonder if we could get a cheaper rate getting a few of us together to have them installed at the same time??

There's also the DIY possibility, but if Ikea has taught me anything about my skills, extra parts at the end of the build is usually a bad thing

Raymond called it correctly, based on the feed back the cost is more on the dialing in/ adjustment time, the better shops said bring it back as many times as you need. The lower end price of $425.00 was install and adjustment to my liking (no alignment). Sounds like the install is a no brainer, its the up and down making sure that the height is right, contact with the wheel well or no contact and the dampening feels right. My best guess is that my shop of choice (who I have worked with a number of times) would give me a break on the price if everything goes quickly. Now the $975.00 price, (even including alignment) is just silly......

Using IKEA instructions to assemble a desk is probably more difficult than installing coilovers...

agreed unless you are swedish lol. Really though the install is not hard but I under for people that do not feel comfortable on tackling it, it is just that price a lilttle steep for all that is required, but adding adjustments I can see why because I am still adjusting mines at the moment, you have adjust and drive in different raod consitions before you say yes and get an alignment.

Anyone know if these things are on backorder? I ordered mine from the Import Image website June 1st and haven't received an email whether or not they have been shipped out yet. I did get an email confirming my order though. Just curious.

On back order since these are a fairly new application for the FX. I ordered mine on 5/25 and some others orders about the same time. Im sure Josh will notify when they come in.

i have over 120 sets of coilovers on order, problem is they are in high demand and we sell them out before they get to the usa :(. I am putting in extra orders for FX coilovers so that way its same day shipping as bc wasn't expecting as many sales as we are making. any questions let me know, im around 7 days per week. (this weekend i will be on the other coast for a car show etc, but you can still get in touch with me)
