Where is my Lojack located??

I recently just realized that a couple of my electrical problems have occurred after I had my Lojack installed. I tried googling for a pic of the Lojack box but I couldn't find any. So I went on Ebay and finally found a pic of one. Its a small black box, probably the size of a cigarette box. After reading a lil more about the Lo Jack installation, I found out that it is hooked up through your fuse box. I read that if you find the Lojack box, you can just disconnect it. I want to see if the electrical problems still occur while the box is disconnected. Such as my alarm going off every damn hour. But then again, I might have to disconnect it from the fuse box too. Has anyone had any experience with messing with a Lojack system? If so, then please let my know how to find the Lojack box or which wiring to look for on the fuse box. A picture of your stock fuse box would be very helpful too.

I think I found it. Its zip tied under the dash right obove the brake pedal. It has a red wire and 2 black wires coming out of it. One black wire is for the antenna. The antenna ran underneath the driver side floor panel and ended halfway there??? (worthless) It doesnt seem to have any way of disconnecting anything from the box. But the red wire is connected to some wires from the fuse box. And they did a very poor job. They even left some of the wiring exposed. I could have done a better job. My girlfriend just took my car for work so I'll mess with it a little later.

Cant you call the company that installed it? I wouldnt mess with it. When they hooked mine up they didnt even want me to see where they put it.

there supposed to be pretty well hidden, what good is it if it's right there in the very first place a thief would look?... that's crazy... I'd complain about that... the ones I've seen have been hidden away in a quarter panel or somewhere much less conspicuous than that... sounds like they installed it in like 3 minutes...

agree with both

yeah, you should call LoJack. IMO... they should come out and fix the problem...

and to my understanding, the location isn't always the same... otherwise that would be just too easy for thieves

exactly, not supposed to be in the same location & they should be a real bitch to even find in the car... I'm sure lojack themselves would never approve of that install...

Mine was wired near the foglight area. When I was changing my foglights to HID, I saw the box.

I was right!!! That damn lojack was causing my alarm to go off! It feels good to finally have my car back to normal!

I had it installed at a Toyota Dealership. Thats where I bought my car. I'd rather install it myself. Like I said, I could have done a better job. And its only 2 wires.

The first place I started looking was in the quarter panel. I was taking everything apart. lol
