Yup that's correct bro!

But the two trunk lights don't use wedge base bulbs, they use festoon type bulbs like these: http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/DomeMap-LED/White-LED/HID-5K-WHITE-HIGH-POWER-p6941706.html

For the liscence plate lights you have to be careful with the size of the bulb. I bought 6 led bulbs and it wouldn't fit inside the housing. If I were you I'd get these:

Hope that helps :)

Hey bro, I was able to change all interior bulbs and the license plate bulbs to LED... the car looks much better now! Thanks for your help.

No problem man! If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask :)

I'm going to order some brighter bulbs for my liscence plate lights though cause the 2 led lights look dim. I like them bright as hell lol.

Just changed mine tonight... Looks much better and feels "cleaner" if that makes sense.. Really simple and took 2 mins.. Thanks for the links!

Now the HID fogs tomorrow.. wish me luck.

Yeah, I know what you mean lol. The stock yellow ones look dirty, if you want to put it like that haha.

Good luck on the foglights! Your going to have to go through the wheel well lining. There really is no need to take off the tire either, just turn the wheels all the way and pull the lining back :)

I'll do the fog lights, DRLs (LEDs) and headlights (all 6000K) next week.

Hey man, any night pics for the 6000K Phillips Ultinon DS2 Bulbs? Why Philips?

I regret buying the 6000K Phillips Ultinon bulbs. Their nothing but crap. The bulb quality is excellent and everything you come to expect from Phillips, it's just the color is not right. 6000K is suppose to be pure white with a little hint of blue or purple, but the Phillips bulbs I got were pure white with a little hint of pink. They actually look like stock bulbs. I went around other forums asking about this issue and they said that's the way the Ultinon bulbs are. So I'm returning them and getting a pair of different bulbs. I'm looking into the Morimoto bulbs or something else.

Thanks for the info about the Philips bulbs.

I'm thinking about getting the GARAX bulbs from JDM:

Get them :)

Just don't get the ultinons cause to me their a waste of money. For a $200 set of bulbs, I'd expect more. I'm going to install a $20 pair of ddmtuning d2s bulbs, and they look better probably. I've bought many ddmtuning bulbs before and for such a cheap price they hold up pretty good. With the Phillips bulbs your paying for the name and the life expectancy.

Besides the ddmtuning bulbs come with a lifetime warranty.

I just ordered the GARAX D2S bulbs :)

I already got the 6000K HID fogt kit from DDM per your recommendation and I'll install it next week... I hope it's an easy process!

Now, have you thought about using LEDs for the DRLs to complete the look?

Yeah I have, but LED's fail alot due to heat cause of the HID's. The housing area of the headlight heats up pretty quick too. Even on the vleds website they warn you of it. So I was kind of skeptical about doing it. Actually I was thinking about it earlier lol. I might order a pair though later and try it out. I believe someone else on here has done it already though.

The foglights should be pretty simple to do. It took me 10 minutes to do for each side. Just turn the wheel all the way to the left or the right, remove the screws holding the trim, and pull that trim piece off. After that just peel back the wheel well lining. You will then have full access to the back of the foglights :)

You can also just unscrew the paneling under the front of the bumper and squeeze your hand through to reach behind the fog light.

For the new generation cars the process is much more tedious. The front bumper or the wheel well liner needs to be removed to get access to it.

i'm in the process of upgrading to led interior lights too.
i first ordered cheaper ebay leds but they weren't bright enough so ordered new sets from v-leds.com

$60 for 921 backup led lights & $10 each for DE3175

Really? Are there no screws or bolts right under the front bumper. I thought I had to remove my bumper as well, but I went ahead and tried it anyway.

Just went outside 10 minutes ago and took these pictures. Their 3 LED 2watt LED bulbs in the liscence plate lights. VERY bright! Camera pictures don't do justice for the light output. They light up the entire ground in the back lol. Their definately brighter than OEM. I switched out my other ones cause these are damn ass bright haha.

Nope, no other way.. Either remove the bumper or go through the wheel liner..

Hey Fire, that looks very bright... then again, I don't want to attract to much attention to my plates; especially if the cops are behind me :wink (2):
