I'm sure the FX pulls hard on a roll. 0-60 doesn't really show the true potential of the car. I wonder what the trap speed of the FX is. :tup:

Sam it putting something together for IS members that will have a discounted price, the kit should be available any week now. As for the tranny?! It's best to keep it in sport mode while driving to slow down the cars want to get into the higher gears. Sam did flash the tranny, but staying out of normal drive mode & not smashing down the gas above 100mph in normal mode has been strongly recommended. I just play it safe & always drive in S mode now.

Picked up a GoPro camera yesterday so I could shoot some videos, it would appear (after a night of charging it) that it's defective though because it still won't turn on. I'm gonna go back to Best Buy today & swap it out.

I bought one of the car mounts (good up to 200mph apparently) just so I could shoot some good video! :tup:
 
Ya drive it in S mode and if you hammer the gas above 130 km/hr make sure to drop it down to 4th manually. I learned this the hard way. On a side note Sam says my built trans should be ready soon. Sam where is my phone call/e-mail?

: didn't know about the manual drop down part, thanks for the info. Your waiting on a call from SAM?! can't relate.. lol SAM does the best work, but man is he bad at calling or emailing when he's supposed to.

i'm curious as to why the FX needs to be in "S" mode? and our 7spd tranny's can safely handle 400+HP without any mechanical tweaks? sorry for the questions =]

When the car is in normal driving mode it tries to get into 7th gear (for fuel economy reasons) as quickly as possible. 7th gear apparently isn't really built (from the factory) as agressive as the others are. So, hammering down with 500+HP in that higher gear just isn't the "smartest" thing to do. When it's in S mode is rev's higher in the RPM's before switching (as I'm sure you know) thus making it less likely that you'll end up in those higher gears..

& don't worry about asking questions brother, isn't that why we're on a forum?!
 
haha i see, that means our first 6 gears are built pretty well then if it can handle 500+ horses on yours ;)

one thing I noticed about sport is that if you leave it in DS it tends to respond to the way you drive, so if you drive "fuel conscious" it actually keeps all the RPMs fairly low as if your in D mode but if you continuously drive "fuel killing" its RPMs are up there. maybe its just mine?

yup! I noticed that too about being in D mode... Infiniti's are smart! lol
