Love the car. I don't get how with your mods it says it made 257rwhp and 225rwtq. Then they said they put it back to stock for a better baseline and it made 259rwhp and 235rwtq......
 
: lets hope you are wrong.. lol I'm prepared for however long they need though, I want everything thing to be dialed in before getting it back.. I"m just waiting for the "well, it might take longer because of........" call though....

Me too. Have seen what has become 2 different levels of experience with GTM. They eventually deliver the the customers are happy, or they eventually deliver and the customers are pissed.

The pissed faction are usually the ones that don't like time lines that continually slip and slip. These same people are the ones with lingering issues. The other factions are generally happy but I usually see the same long waits.

Have nothing personal against GTM. They have a huge facility, do a lot of cool stuff. But the overhead looks crazy to me. In the end the customer is paying for the overhead, and that amount of space is one of 2 things. You are so busy you need all that space to keep the cars churning thru or you have too much space. Either way it seems they hardly ever turn cars over on time.

Many a built car gets sold soon after from how much everything eventually cost or the time and process just take all the enthusiasm away from the build.

Sometimes your years of wisdom & facts are brutal to hear... I was talking to FXP earlier about you.. Did you post something in the past about wether a 370Z 6speed could be swapped into an 09 FX? I wanna make my car a manual! Any advice?

From what I can tell from the Dyno results, I lost a good 15+ HP when I had the Injen intake put on.. Sucks!
 
Probably just needs a tune. I cant see that intake losing power. It just looks too nice
 
I remember reading about one issue with GTM. In short, something was taking way too long and all Sam had to say was "sorry, it's on the part manufacturer's end, we can't do anything." Hopefully you don't hit any snags with getting parts.
 
Damn, manual swap would be the shit on an FX and it will make the car lighter.

Problem about doing big projects is that you still need to do smaller jobs to bring in money to keep on going, which in turn means less time on the bigger projects.
 
: I agree guys, I manual swap would be way sick & very expensive. However, can it be done fairly easy is the question! Could a 370Z tranny be thrown in with basic tweaks? If so, I need to find a manuel Z owner with need for an auto tranny!
 
Mine was around 7-8k with my Exedy triple carbon clutch. Clutch itself was 3k I think. All depends on new/used 6MT trans parts.

Just curious, with all the money going into your FX, why didn't you consider a FX50S and then do the supercharger on that, manual, etc!? You'd be my idol lol
