Hollywood007's Super Charged ProjectFX

Which one do you guys like better? Not the best PS jobs, but you get the idea.. Thoughts?

My taillights in this picture aren't blacked out, but I do have them dome already....

I like option 1 from this angle more. I think the black mirrors blend into the body well, rather than stick out like in 2.
 
The side vents and door handles would look way better if they were color matched instead (white). I think it wouldn't contrast too well with it like that doing every piece in black. Doing the window trim black though will look nice. And leave the mirrors the way they are.

Do the roof in black obsidian.

I'v seen it photoshopped with the handles white and it's too much white... Truth be told I though about doing the roof in black obsidian, but the wheels, front grille, and side vents are all flat black.. I think it will be too much contrast, You know what I mean?

think he means ceramic clear coat which is what your fx has from infiniti... a correct repair should be redone in ceramic clear coat but I don't see it being such a big deal on the roof really. if you were to have any part of the body sprayed it'd be a good idea to have it done in ceramic clear though

She's going over to Eibach for R&D.. They should have them available for purchase within 6 weeks of getting my car back.. I'm working on getting a promo code put together for all you 09'ers out there....
 
I like door handles white.
I like the side vents black or white.
I like the side mirrors white. I don't think they will look good flat black.
I actually like FXs with the roof rails. The 2nd gens w/o rails look weird to me.

You should paint the whole ride Matte White!!!

If you removed the roof rails, I think it would look like an EX kinda of. I'm not sure though bro.

As for the Scratchshield, it's a special clearcoat the 2nd gen FX comes with. It has this elastic resin in it thats microscopic. Let's say you were to get a light scratch on the clearcoat. What would happen is the sun would lightly melt the resin in the clear coat and fill the scratch back in making it less noticeable, or completely removing it depending on how deep the scratch is.


If you lift up the hood, their is a little white nameplate attached up underneath that say's Scratchshield Paint, use only approved refinish materials.

:tup: Awesome man, thanks for setting this up, I know we've all been waiting for these.

My take: I had my rails removed when they were painted, I liked the clean look, if it weren't for my wanting to throw snowboards on top I'd have left it off too. Didn't look better or worse, just different ... and I kinda liked that.

What about: black roof, black mirrors, white color matched vent, handles and eventually the plastic cladding?
 
Lets hope your wrong about the roof rails, they're taking them off as we speak... lol
Thanks for the heads up about the Scratchshield! I stopped by the shop and they assured me that they knew all about it and I was gonna have it included... :tup:

I think with all that white and my wheels and roof done, it would look too much like a double stuff oreo.. I'm already deep in the storm trooper area.. lol
