Hello everyone.. I don't own a FX as of yet but inquiring about them in the last few months. I've joined a few other sites like NICO and FreshAlloy and IS seems to have more activity. I recently wanted to hear after market exhaust for the FX35 and came jbaker1121 ride on youtube. I've also seen his car on cardomain.. Very nicely done IMO and he has some great mods..

Now I've been a sedan guy all my life just about and would really want to try something different like the FX.. My choices are the FX or M45 if i stay the sedan route. The FX has great potential for looking good and performing well. I currently have a 99GS400 and I'm a very active member on Clublexus since 04. I love the GS and Lexus products but i think its time to try something different. Now i have a few questions regarding the FX but I'll search before i ask them LOL..

Welcome to the Scene! The Infiniti suspension is quite a bit stiffer than a Lexus so you may have to get used to that.
 
Comparing FX models

Are there certain years if any i should stay away from? I've been looking at 06-07 FX's.. Seems like the FX35 is more popular than than 45. Will i be disappointed with the 35 since I've had V8's in the past?

Thanks DR.... I think i say your car on CarDomain.. Great setup you have.. I'm really amazed at the drop that the H&R springs give the FX.. It really does look good.. I have Tein CS on the GS so yea that ride is almost like stock LOL.. From what i've read reviews and such, the FX is perfect all around..:smile:

Yea, but I have not updated that site foe a while now. Anyways, if you like the H&R's drop you will enjoy the new coilovers just released for the FX here ///9300

Thanks DR.. Yea many guys on CLublexus are using the BC's and really like them.. Nice weight reduction as well.. Although the springs are a still a great choice IMO for modding on a budget LOL...

Your car looks great BTW.. I really like the DG with black wheels theme.. Even the stockers PC blk look great

I do like that color along with Gray and Silver.. I like it because the Copper is different and really no one has it.. I have to admit the exhaust looks great and seems like a great choice.. Car looks really good..

yes, and i have the espresso interior, great combo, if you get a 35 or a 45, get Invidia exhaust, and thanks (:

Thanks guys for the welcome.. I didn't think the 35 would be a disappointment at all. With 280 HP the 35 is no slug by any means.. Both cars are great IMO... Now i just need to drive both.. :biggrin:

But you'll only find them in 03 & 04 - both 35 and 45 available out there...

It sounds like you are a modder that being the case there are definatly many more mod options available for the 35's..........
 
Welcome! With either the 35 or 45, I'm sure you won't regret either one. People who drove my car love the pull / torque and I only have the intake mod. Ivory is a good color too! :biggrin:

Well i think modding is great i just haven't modded in long time and frankly having mixe feelings of modding the GS especially a 11yr old car.. I think I'm bored and time to move on. I've had the GS since 05 and I feel I'm ready for a change..

There are so many great colors to choose from.. I especially like the DG, Silver, copper, and white..
