Alternate Pop Charger Filter

I found this link on ebay for a spare pop charger filter only to be used if the original one has been damaged.

but I was wondering if I could just buy this and the blue filter oil separately and make it work. It will go in with the AEM intake tube i took off from my 350z.
I don't care much for the heat shield that comes along with the original one, I will figure something out with the stock box.
Any input is appreciated.

Do you know if the AEM intake filter has the same diameter as the open end of the pop charger filter? That will be what matters. I think the pop charger has a 5" open end.

i will check that once i get home, but i am almost sure it falls short of 5" in diameter.

The PC filter attaches to the venturi ring at ~5" which then attaches to the tube at ~3", so you need the venturi ring, or some other adapter, for it to fit correctly. Presumably, the AEM would have that attached that came with it, unless the AEM filter is smaller and bolts straight on.

well that's a bummer. the aem filter does come attached with the ring. can't take that off, of course.
