3M Carbon DI-NOC Film

Check out my mods thread. I used this stuff and it's easy to work with once you get the hang of it!

Center Display/ air vents

Hi everybody
Im going to order up some Carbon film for my center display plastic and the air vents. Im between the standard CA-421 – Black that I did the center console. Or a different color like CA-423 – Dark pewter. I think the dark pewter will bring some color to the area that is similar to the floor wheat color, there is allot of brown around the dash. Need something there to give some contrast. Here are the colors from the site I'm going to order from.

Going to order around 12 sq ft. That should cover everything, I hope .

Don't know if it was already mentioned but do you guys think it'll look nice to place the film on the black moldings on the exterior (especially with black exterior)? I know you can use the Di-Noc for exterior, just wont last AS long as putting it in interior.

Merchant that grille looks great! how long have you had it on there? I wanted to get rid of as much chrome as i can. Was thinking of doing my door handles, anything specific you did for the install?

Well here is the Dry Carbon on a wheat interior. Took me 3 try's to get the center dash correct. Im happy with the overall outcome:smug:. Last will be the little air vents for the back. Here are some pictures from today:

What was done was the Center console/ The "Clock" area/ Center Dash/ All inside (F&R) door handles/ Both front side air vents/ Top of the Kenwood control/ The middle of the gear selector/ Steering wheel controls.

O'ya I'm thinking about a under car light kit in BLUE

Sorry to bring this thread back up. But i just purchased a roll of the carbon fiber stuff and wanted to know how u guys remove the door handle?? so u just pull it off like the center console? Also did u guys make patterns before cutting the Vinyl or did u apply it first then trim the excess off? Thanks for all the help and info!

The handle trim just pulls off.

What I did was place the piece I was going to cover on the backside of the dinoc and trim out a shape to that piece with some excess. I then applied the primer on the edges and corners and went to town with a hair dryer and my fingers. I then trimmed the dinoc so it would wrap about 1/4" over the edges and heated and wrapped it over.

Hey guys looked around for carbon fiber gear discount codes and found one that's 5% off for signing up at carbonfiberclub.com. It's free to sign up. The code they gave me was CFCCFG5. I think the code will work for everyone and it won't hurt to try. Good luck

Anybody have some extra carbon fiber wrap laying around for sale? I would like to experiment with my shifting center panel.

I just used it on my ride on the emblems and to cover the mirrors. I will be ordering more to do my roof racks. BUT BE AWARE, you need to use a lot of heat to make the material easy to work with. I had a lot of problems untill I figured that out. It came out really good and looks like the real thing! I got an 12'' by 48'' for $8 off ebay.
