I should have never started coming to this website....lol....
I manged 6 years without modding my FX and now I think I'm about to open the flood gate...

I just did the radio bezel and now I'm wanting to do the steering wheel controls but can't figure out how to get them off.....

It depends on a lot of things. If the plastic has ever been treated with armor all or any conditioner like that, the film will have a hard time sticking. I used to manufacture dash kits and we used 3M tape. With some cars, it was just a fight to get the kits to stick when we were doing installs. Normally they say to use rubbing alcohol, but sometimes even that wouldn't clean it up enough. We resorted to using acetone on some dashes if there was a lot of residue. The primer helps, but it's not a total cure.

Nice.... turned out very good.. Next up is i think the part where the clock, shifter, and center console pieces meet would look really good.. Many Lexus guys are doing this to there IS-F's are the finished look is amazing.. Again Nice work..
Thanks! I was thinking about doing that but was hesitating because I didn't want to over-do-it. I think I will now tho ...

unfortunately i did not realize i wrapped the cup holder lid and ash tray with the grain of the fiber going the other way. still came out good, and it really wasn't bad at all, especially considering i have no experience doing this type of thing. overall i am very happy with it.
I was scared of this happening ... I don't know if it really makes a difference from what you were saying, but I took the whole panel soaked it in the sink with dish soap and used a toothbrush to scrub it. Let it dry completely, then wiped it down with alcohol before I applied the 3M. So far so good.

Black carbon fiber with wheat interior
Here is my interior which I did last night. 05 Ivory Pearl with Wheat interior. Pics taken with my Sprint Hero phone camera so colors are washed out a bit (not to mention because the sun is coming through the windshield).

^ good job cambo. was it hard to cover the button for the cup holder? also I see you gave up the lettering on the steering wheel

I was just about to say, why not match up the patterns?
stuff like that drives me crazy... clock bezel looks good, ashtray & cup holder needs to be redoneI got to see this material in person on mikes fx... very impressed with the quality & texture of the material... I'm not big at all on fake stick on carbon fiber but this stuff does look very good really...

it should be real easy to get those panels on the wheel off after pulling the wheel off...
