3M Carbon DI-NOC Film

Hi Guys and what do you think about putting this sticker on the front grille? My really sucks / a lot of chips on/?

Overall this stuff is pretty easy to work with then hit with a little heat, but all those bumps would make it pretty difficult to wrap. It would look neat tho imo.

It's not the unsticking you have to worry about. The adhesives they use on vinyl is very good. What usually happens is that the vinyl starts to fade and crack a little bit due to the sun. The life of the vinyl is going to depend on where you live and weather conditions. But down here in GA, I never saw vinyl go the full rated lifespan without some sort of damage. Usually the colors get less vibrant and the vinyl gets less of a sheen, then it will get more brittle and start showing small cracks. Typically on 5-7 year rated vinyl, we'd see maybe 3-4 years on it. I used to own a shop and part of our business was custom vehicle graphics so this is based on my personal experience with it.

Looks good but how long will it last before its starts unsticking with the sun and heat?

Sorry i started a thread and havent responded. But I just finished mine car and it is pretty easy and it came out great. Ill have pictures tomorrow =D

I just did my center console today also, took long and I want to redo it, but maybe in a few months. Stuff is really easy to flex and stretch when you heat it up.. I have more parts that still need to be done.

I think this is the same material. I saw it demo'd at SEMA

I plan on doing most if not all of the brushed aluminum pieces. Looks like the same stuff (by 3M), it looks much better without a flash hitting it.
