My question is simple and I'm sure it's answered explicitly somewhere but can not seem to find it. I would like to purchase the Stillen Z-Tube/Intake setup but can not seem to figure out if there is anything (if at all) that I will need to modify to make this (http://www.stillen.com/product.asp?id=STIZTBE01&c=PE&year=2003&make=INFINITI&model=FX 35) work for a 35 since they all seem to be for G's.

On another note:
1) are the engine bays identical from g35's to fx35's?
2) are the drivetrains identical also?

I'm about 80% sure of these answers:

1) no. FX is much bigger.
2) yes. G35 = RWD FX35. G35x = AWD FX35. The reason some G exhaust components need to be altered to fit the FX is that the body of the FX is different. (longer in the back and shaped differently in the middle).

well didnt know what thread to use to ask this question so i'll use this one since the title seems pretty general:)

have any use a different air filter with the stillen setup?

i'm tire of oil!! done.. so im looking for a filter that will fit the venturi ring or whatever the name of the circular aluminum thing is..

i think AEM has filter that might fit but i dont know the diameter of the ring.. does any one knows it?

I just had the Stillen / Z Tube Intake installed along with H&R spring, and am more than impressed with the performance of the Stillen system thus far. My FX sounds like a rocket ship now!!!!!!!

Stillen calls it a "velocity stack", but venturi ring is also suitable...

I'll measure mine for you tomorrow morning. :wink (2):

Wheres a good place to buy the z tube and filter?i looked on ebay but they only have the z tube.thanks.

Ebay is good for the z-tube, you can get the filter on the k&n website.

Nothing that I noticed, but I like the fact that there is no oil on it. Also I use simple green to clean in.

i think dry filter are/will be better way better..

even tho i clean mine filter often, everytime i clean the upper plenum is all yellowish by oil.. and even worse when i get to the lower plenum..

That's engine oil, not filter oil. The K&N filter oil would never get up that far, and aside from that it's red... You'll need a oil catch can to solve that issue.
