What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Well, I swap out of my 24s into my 20s winter setup. While at it, I also did some PM to the coilovers. I use a tooth brush, clean off the road dirt, and rub a liberal coat of grease round the thread and ring in hoping to prevent the winter salt corrosion and seize it if I ever need to adjust the height in the future.

Make sure you put some insulation into the walls and a wall mounted ventless heater (mine runs natural gas). I have to say that the heater makes working on car in the winter months so much more fun. I was using a fairly decent size electric portable heater with a blower fan in it. That is not comparison with this wall mounted ventless natural gas heater!

Andy, I highly recommend this product called LPS3 for protecting your coilovers. http://www.lpslabs.com/product_pg/corrosion_pg/LPS3.html.
We used it at the Nuclear complex I worked at for protecting some parts for long time storage. I also have used it around home on parts. I also recommended it to a few friends on another site for their coilovers and they were very satisfied with the results.t.

Swapped in the winter tires tonight. Brrrrrrrr....Hope to get feeling back in my fingers soon. :clown:

Amen to that, did mine first thing Saturday morning..both our cars. Now if it could just kindly snow to substantiate the money I spent on the tires, the swap, and the storage of my other tires I would appreciate it. =)

Had my tpms reset at Fox Nissan in Grand Rapids, MI. Took five minutes and when I went to pay they just told me "Merry Christmas!"

Great people there and great facilities!

I'm gonna kick your ass if I found out you passed my area without visiting me on your way to Grand Rapids. I assume you had your car transported directly from NY to GR. :)
