What did you do to your FX / QX70 today?

Drove over to an older man's house to see his nice little collection.

DB7, California, couple older Benz's, and this beauty:

Went to pick up his Quattroporte from the Ferrari/Maserati dealership, which was equally cool to see.

Now you might ask how it worked out. Well we drove over in the DB7, which I then drove back. Amazing car to drive since it's so comfortable and seems to have so much low end power. Redline is 6000 RPM, and it always seemed to be in low RPM's even while accelerating.

yeah, the installation of the crossbars went fine. I ended up having to flip the rear bar in order for my rack to fit securely. I've only been able to take my bike out twice, but its alot of fun. Here is a (crappy) pic of my bike on the FX last weekend at Terry Hershey.

Only went like 70ish, since I was following him. Plus it made a weird whiny noise while accelerating so I was a little nervous haha. The Tollway is a great road for driving fast cars on. I've taken a 430 up to 130 and an R8 up near there but it was at night so I was more nervous.

Had all kinds of plans for this weekend---Oil Cooler Gasket, Gates Blue Racing Belts, Engine Oil Change, Front and Rear Diff Oil Change, Transfer Case oil Change. A bunch of the relatives are coming to Big Bear for the 4th of July weekend and Fireworks Sow So Wifey shot me down for this weekend . Will try again next weekend:tup:

the heat wave in LA makes it nearly impossible to do anything until sunset. But so far got the new in cabin filter replaced, smells so fresh :) In plans for later full wax job, to get her weekend ready.

just started on modding a spoiler that I had laying around to fit on the FX seeing as there are no options for us anymore, I can't find the universal spoiler that was on ebay. Oh well, more fun this way and it'll be unique.

Originally I had wanted to mold it in but apparently you can't just get the top part of the rear hatch(the black part) separate from the rear hatch. If I could have gotten that piece by itself I could do the project in my spare time then trade the finished product with the one that's on there now but no dice. It will probably just mount with adhesive so I don't need to drill into the body and I can take it off in the future if need be.

flipped the rear cross bar around so now it is positioned right. The dealer had installed it wrong upon purchase of the car... and never got around to doing it till now. This explains why my rear ski rack was always lopsided...

Installed my sport e-brake pedal. Car has so much more low end now, huge difference. Lost control off the line coming out of a four way stop and almost ran into a busload of nuns. Considering removing it, not sure if I can handle the additional power.

Since I can't lower my car properly yet, these should weigh enough to lower it a bit..
