This my three time my battery die on me with my 2010 FX35. First time, It die for no reason that I can find. Second time , I had a laptop running and my G1 phone charging. The last one was today 3/19/10, when I was tinting the front windows of my FX35. It was on park and the push button is on the ON mode with radio on for over 1 hours, 30min. Is it me or the FX OEM battery can't handle a simple radio playing on the background while you work on your ride. Going for a deep cycle redtop optima battery. Thanks goodness I purchase a battery booster to wake it up. Any reason it doing this?

Did you leave the ac/heat on Auto? If so the fan would be running too.

Either way, I don't leave the car in the on position without turning on the engine every once in a while to charge the battery. For the reasons you gave, I can see why your battery is drained. Optima should help.

Have you done this with your other cars without having your battery die? Is that why this is an issue?

Nothing else was on, but the factory radio playing from the usb stick. I had 07 fj cruiser with after market radio, amp, and 8 speakers, gps plugin and still start up the engine after a few hours of use. I think the battery capacity size is too small for a large crossover with all those electrical equipment, even tho the alternator should be doing the job. It look like it from a 4 cylinder sub-compact car.

Go with the Yellow Top D35. Higher RC than the Red Top 35 and only a few bucks more expensive. Also, the requisite height adapter comes on the top of the battery so don't throw it away.

mine died within a week of purchasing my car, only thing I had added was a radar detector and not turned anything on without the engine running. Bought Duralast battery and like it so far, no problems.
