265/50/20 upgrade 285-295/50/20 ??

Lovin my Michelin tires but im thinkin of changin my rear tires to much wider..

Would 285's or 295 on 50/20 rub the fender on the freeway when the car goes up and down or on blemished roads?, Have you guys tried it on stocks? or when the car has 4 passengers ??

If you have stock 20" maximum tire that you can put on is 275/45/20. A wider tire needs wider wheel ( at least 9").

i understand, but i think 285 would rub definitely unless 45 on it

I have 20x9.5 +43 offset wrapped with 285/50/20 at stock height.

I don't experience rubbing.

A few FXers have them too (20x10 and lowered)

The widest I'd go on stock would probably be 275/50. 285/50 is too wide for stock rim and too high in my opinion. You'll have a lot of bulge on the sides

I see the dumb a significant response in this 285 50 speed difrence is less than 275 50 but do not know if 285 50 will not rub,275 45 diffrence is speed ,so i think that is 285 45 20 best solution but hard to get these tires will get it and how expensive
