I really want to buy an intake for my FX. The problem is i don't know wich one. My options are:

1.Injen CAI
2.Stillen Gen 3 Long CAI
3.Stillen Gen 2 CAI

All of these will fit with minor modifications. Each of one them has their upsides and downside, except maybe the Stillen's Gen 2 CAI wich is a straight fit.
Injen's are from what i have seen pretty hard to install, i mean you have to take the bumper off move the horn, replace the windshield liquid box and such.
Stillen's Gen 3 worries me about the placement of the air filter that sits in front of the radiator and i have search other forums that raise the problem of the water being sucked in the motor. I am convinced that in the rain it won't be a problem, but how about when i wash my car?
So... Wich one do you guys think i should buy?

I think Stillen gen 3 has shields that cover the forward facing part of the filter.
Here's the G37 one.

My FX isn't here right now so I can't go measure but it doesn't look like those filters will even come close to fitting between my bumper and radiator. Does the 2gen FX have more room?

These are for the 2nd gens. HR engine. Since no one makes FX specific, we have to use HR intakes from the Z/G guys.
Short ram is much more likely to fit, but may not be perfect.

There is enough space to fit them in there. The only problem is with the water. I know it has a splash guard but still i am not sure that is very safe for the engine.

i talked to stillen for the cold airs they say there is no way you can make them fit :( i was hoping i would have it on before the DUB show

One of you should go outside and measure the clearance between your radiator and bumper... You'd still have to find a way to get the tubes up there but fitting the filters would be a good start.

Measure the clearance from the throttle body to the front of the radiator too. I think if you put those in an FX they would want to mount where the radiator is because of how much farther away our radiator is from the front of the engine.

Ok i checked the front today. I didn't even start measuring as i see that indeed the Stillen's Gen 3 won't fit because the radiator is standing in the way of the tubes path. So the guys from Stillen are right. I measured though the distance and it's about 8 Inches and a half in the new model. So i have to cut this one from the list.
How about Nismo's intake?

dude, if you buy something you have to ADAPT to the car, you will regret it once they make something that FITS the car. Just be patient and wait.
