In the Market for FX

Hi all, I am approx one year out from purchasing a FX. Prob going to be a pre-owned vehicle... Just wanted to get an idea of what model would be a "best buy". I understand the FX comes 35, 45, and 50...Interested in the versitility of an SUV along with a luxury yet sporty feel, which I assume comes with all models. I'm not really interested in the 50 due to gas prices. (got out of a 09 Dodge Hemi) I haven't driven one yet, because i get a bit impulsive and may buy it on the spot... doesn't go over well with the wife ...so here I am getting as much info as I can to make an educated purchase. Any thoughts or suggestions are welcomed..I look forward to learning all there is to know about the FX and hope to some day contribute to the site.

If you wait long enough, maybe they will have the FX37 here by then. The M37 is coming out in a month, so hopefully the FX will follow suit.

easily for 30-35 g,you can get 1 year old car with 20k miles.

Well, it just dawned on me that the EX is a smaller version of the FX and therefore cost a bit less...is size the only thing different about the two vehicles? Sorry for my ignorance...just trying to make an educated decision. thanks for you patience.

Yes the EX is smaller and has the same VQ HR motor as the 2nd Gen FX. It is lighter with the same motor therefor it is faster, but most peoples problem with it is the styling cues specifically the tail lights and frond end. The other issue is the space it is pretty small, but it just depends what you need the space for.

okay...lets be real...EX is for chicks and FX for men... I'm 6-2 240 on a good day..got an image to protect Tell it like it is...u won't hurt my feelings...I would love to drive both of them, but may come home with both, one for me and the wifey. Not good!

The way I see it you have two options:

1. Take your wife with you and GO DRIVE ALL THREE OPTIONS. That way you can't buy anything impulsively.
2. Leave your wallet at home and GO DRIVE ALL THREE OPTIONS. That way you can't buy anything impulsively.

After that, write us a sweet comparative review.
