Hey guys, you may remember me from my newbie thread, I got my 03 fx45 for 15600! im in high school so this was a miracle to be able to own one of these beasts after working at a gas station for 3 years. Its silver with tan interior, tech/premium/sport 20s and such, and the first owner (ONE OWNER!) installed headrest dvd for the back seats!

My mod ideas:
Powdercoated wheels
Led under dash by passenger and driver foot pedal areas
stereo overhaul
tinted tails/heads?

Any advice on the following from you seasoned pros would be great, meanwhile im gonna continue to enjoy selecting an actual car without being hypothetical on all of these shop by car part websites!!! so happy!
 
so anyways guys. theres always some good news then a little bad with me. I got the car from florida, and when it arrived here, dead battery. Even after my dad jumped it and drove it around for 3 hours, (not paying any attention to the lcd or controls being on or off) since i was still away on college visits, it was dead the next morning. This didnt surprise me, combining an old warm environment battery with a 3 week dormant state to a cold nj driveway. I got a new battery and when my dad was swapping them while i was at work so i could finally hear this baby start up, he found tons of corrosion allover that apparatus around the positive terminal, and in trying to get it off, that little fusable link right before the terminal broke. we got the new part altogether and the connector because it was dirty as all hell anyway, and when we finally got it connected, i heard the dominant roar of the 45 once again. It drives great, but then i had found that the lcd was not on, and none of the dash controls were responding really (i think the ac is on auto somehow however because it seems to do what it wants.) Im wondering what happened to cause the lcd (non nav) to be off, and the controls not doing anything. Things to know:

Year: 2003
Mileage: 84756
Start and drive: perfect
Interior lights and power locks: perfect
Stereo: inaccessable due to no central screen or controls

I dont know what to do, and i think ill get it looked at since im getting an inspection on monday. Also, a nice little cherry on top of all this, as im putting on my plates finally acquired from the dmv after 2 hours regardless of having all of the right forms, I smacked myself on head when i realized that the bracket i bought for the front plate needs to be INSTALLED, since it is a FLORIDA car which only needs back plates. I guess i have a lot for the local garage to do on top of this inspection. fml.

Any ideas guys??

its defintely the fuses happened to me to0 ac not turning of tail lights not on its a 15 amp fuse that blew did u try installing anything such as led bulbs

thanks guys any help is very appreciated. I want to use the dealer as little as possible for help because of how much they like to charge. just got home from another joyride i am so addicted.

Check your fuses under the kickpanel and all the ones under the hood. Not sure where the nav/ac fuses are.

Really hoping another one of our members didn't get hit with this. Could this have been a flooded out car from Hurricane Katrina? Car is a 2003, from Florida, really hoping not...

do not worry haha the vehicle has a clean title carfax buyback. one owner, who lives in tallahassee-north florida. Its immaculate besides this weird problem.
 
thanks guys, I just replaced a bunch of fuses down at the citgo since i work there and its all fixed. iS is really the place to be i feel like otherwise it would just be a car with nowhere to talk about it..
