SFR advertises 750 whp on the G35 auto tranny. I'm sure they can get the FX tranny near similar numbers.
The overheating sounds like maybe the coolers should be re-oriented. I didn't read the whole thread. Are these oil or coolant cooled turbos?
So Speed Force Racing does have a 5AT build that can hold more power. I looked into it and decided if I ever blow my level 10 built tranny, I'd switch to SFR. Ray's post above is talking about the level 10 build. SFR actually sold a 5AT to another local FX owner here in Houston who is now making over 500 to the wheels on a supercharger. SFR was asking $3000 plus core swap. I have always said if I somehow blow the Level 10 tranny, I'll go for the SFR. Not sure I'll have to do that because I built the car for this boost/power level and would have to go to a bigger turbo to get past 500whp.
Overheating was a blown head gasket. After replacing the entire short block and head gasket, temperatures have been rock solid. The turbos are oil cooled, and the motor uses an aftermarket oil cooler.
