Which mods do you regret?

Dude, do it. It will totally solve your problem. Do the trunk area first and work your way forward until you are happy with the reduction. I had the same issue...

My exhaust is completely stock minus the cat's. I was thinking about starting in the front first.

Were you suggesting starting in the rear assuming i had an after market exhaust?

^Yes. I was assuming the majority of the sound is coming out of the pipes. Also, the area under the front seats A) already has sound insulation, and B) is brutally complex due to the hvac system and wiring under there. In my experience (I have only an aftermarket muffler) the trunk was easy and had the largest impact. Bottom line is that it will make a huge difference anywhere it is installed.

"Lightweight" UR accessory pulleys. They are really expensive, no lighter than stock (less than 1/10th lbs difference if any), and make the rest of the stock pulleys look even worse than they did prior to installation. I'm only keeping them because I don't think it's worth my time to remove and try to sell them.

Purchasing lowering springs (Eibach) and installing them, then have to remove them because there is nothing to correct the alignment for the 2nd Gen.
Waste of time and money until the camber kits for the 2nd Gen are available.

purchasing the Lexani LSS-10 instead of waiting to buy the stock FX50 21" rims

Every mod i did on My cavalier convertible (i wasted so much money)
2 body kits
2 sets of wheels
racing seats
custom paint job
engines
etc...

i spent moore on it than my used FX cost me

Having over 5 sets of wheels and tires in my garage at one point -- if I could just be satisfied with just one...

I'm down to two sets at least. I will be a TLC's Wheel Addicts, it's on right after Jonas on "InfinitiScene Addict".

thanks for this thread folks. it really helps a noob to focus on basics and keep things in perspective. i'll have less regrets because of all your input. much appreciated.

one regret from my old car...not removing the aftermarket system i had on it and selling it with the car.

: pulling the rails off & having the holes filled, epic fail...

Lesson learned!

Why do you regret this? What would you have done different? Still would had painted the roof black or just the rails black? I think your FX looks awesome...it's my mentor! ;)

Update

Getting my rims in chrome instead of black.

Trying to use both filaments 25w/5w of OE DTRL bulb in turn signal housing and melting my headlight---
