Is this the right Intake?

Wtz up Guys

I bought a used Stillen Cold Air Intake with the Z tube from e bay & it came out from a G35 but it doesn’t looks right to me:sad:. The intake box on stillen site looks different than what I got. The one I got doesn’t have a opening on left side for the intake duct. Please need some help? check this link I'll post the pic tomorrow.

That's the right one but it's missing the "power duct". It's not a super important piece though, and I know at least one guy on here that rolls without it sans problems.

The "HIGH FLOW INTAKE KIT" on the Stillen site looks different than the one for the FX.

EDIT: Check out the "Z-tube Intake Kit" on the Stillen site. That's the one you have...minus the "power duct".

even if its not the right box, you can always run it with only the cone + z/intake tube and just fabricate something simple to hold it up

your right... the one you have seems to not have an opening on the left side to connect to the intake duck, but it doesnt look like a lost cause. Maybe you can just install it the way it came and use the box as a heat shield, or just instead the cone intake and make a bracket to keep it stable

I don't think the opening is a big deal, if the z and g guys run without it it will be fine. It looks like your z-tube was designed for the z/g though, it looks smaller than ours. I'm sure you can make it work though.

I ran the Stillen heat shield without the front air duct for weeks. Performance wise there was no difference using the front duct and not using it. I do have the opening for the connection in my heat shield tho. I removed the top, "power duct" and haven't used it since the original install.

What you have will absolutely work, but it is designed specific to another car. If you want to use it (and you should imo) I would recommend removing the front duct that you are not connecting to - it will make your engine bay look more clean after your Stillen is installed.

That heat shield looks alot like the one for the HR motor. Can you check the part number on it and verify through Stillen?
