okay i have went to the glendale dealer a couple of times and last time i went and this guy named rodger pissed the sh** out of me so what do you guys recommend is there any difference or should go ez - lube or is the dealer a must?

I'd stay with an infiniti dealer- ask for a different service advisor. I wouldn't trust jiffy lube to use the right filter and washer or replace all the pan bolts.

goto Metro Infinti in Duarte! and ask for Cheryl ... JL will not replace the crush washer and will not used oem oil filter . I dont even think they let you bring in your own. Metro Infinti will let you fring your own oil even

I take my FX to a local shop and bring my own oil and filter, $15.00 and I sit there and watch them do it. Make sure you remind them to reinstall and tighten down ALL the pan bolts.

+1 Keeping an eye on the crew can make the difference between a simple oil change and a disaster. Call in advance and tell them you are bringing in your own product, after the work tell them you want a rundown of what they did.

JL uses Pennzoil.

I go to Oil Can Henry's (not sure if its just a NW thing...), bring my own filter, and specify Mobil 1 oil. They are kind of pricey ($89 not including the filter) but I don't have to dispose of my old oil, or even get out of the car. They have 4 video camera monitors right outside the drivers window that show front, back, engine compartment, and under the car so you can see everything that's going on at all times. I've never had an issue with them at all and it takes about 10 minutes. They even give you a newspaper to read while you wait. They also start yelling and cheering when I rev the engine during the leak test. The Flowmaster is pretty loud...

i go to oil can henry. dont know if they have those where you guys live but they have excellent service

if you still go to glendale, work with sam only, if he's still there. just mention mike with the black fx referred you. i used to go there, but now im with cheryl at metro.

if you are specific with your oil, you can bring your own. in my case, i wait for synthetic deals.

I learned my lesson going to Jiffy Lube/EZ Lub a while ago. After watching the investigative news on fraud taking place at lube places, I marked my oil filter with a permanent marker to see if they would replace it. After the oil change, I lifted my car and to find out that those bastards didn't even change my filter. To add to it, I over filled my oil ... and then some.

I placed a complaint and they offered to give me some bogus discount card that I can use for 1 year to save some money on their services.

This was on my 03 TL-Type S... a while back. I never went back to these quick drive through lube places after this experience. I can't trust them.

With oil changes, I only trust myself and I don't spill oil all over my car. I used to hate the burning oil smell because these places never wipe the oil down when it splatters.

Do it yourself... You'll get the satisfaction and it'll only cost half of what you would be paying at the dealer or lube places.

Oil Can Henry- sounds like a unique lube chain. None in NJ as far as I know- I gotta check on them - sounds like a good company to invest in.

Just checked - they are only out west farthest east they come is Minnesota. Might be good opportunity for someone to unseat JL in the northeast.

Might be worth the drive for the yelling and cheering :)

Yeah and it would be an added bonus if they get the oil level right.
