New Wheel? Suggestion Needed

How much for those??

I haven't got the pricing back yet.

I vote for #2, I think you're right about the nice contrast with your pearl white!

ya i dont need the extra set of 22's so thats why there up for sale, i'll have them mounted in march , there is still snow and salt on the ground and the fx is currently in storage, but when its out i'll post pics of my new system and wheel set-up

Your 22" looks pretty nice. Too bad it is an hassle to ship it across the border. Otherwise, it will be my list of choices :.smile:

This is what Option #1 will look like on a white BMW.

The wheel face will look more shine than what it is shown in the first post. It looks great. But I don't know if looks sports enough comparing to black out wheel face (option #2). The estimated pricing is around $600 / per rim.

Seems like the available size in 22" is 9 or 10. I don't know if the size can be customized. Anyone has any suggested lip size? I am looking for similar lip size as the Axis.

Any photoshop guru can put Option #2 on a white first gen FX?

I still think option 1 is nicer, but I'm a shiny guy. Go staggered with 9" front and 10 inch rear, if you can find tires with the same overall diameter. That would look sweet. +30 front offset, +35 or 40 rear.

This picture is altered. I think they will look more like the first pic in person.
I'm pretty sure the first pics are altered more. Option 1 has a computer generated look to it. And look at the lips, they both have the exact same reflection even though it's different colored spokes.

Thanks Stu for the advices. :.smile:

This picture is altered/enhanced. EDIT: I think they might be less shiny in person.

I see. Thanks Tchuck.

Anyone think with black lip will be better or chrome?

Any know issues with stagger setup with AWD? I remember turbocad is running that without issues. The only concerns I have is how to do tire rotation with stagger setup?

Stu has a good point. The first pic might be more altered than the others... I'm no Photoshop expert. Either way I like the machined face better.

i talked to my friend whos a lexani dealer, he said those rims with tires he can get for around $3,000 for 22's

That will be sweet. Robb, do you mind if I can talk to your buddy or you can be the middle man hook me up with those wheels?

Thanks Stu. I did not notice that. :.smile:

I did some more search.

This is a shot of the LX10 under camera.

That depends on whether your tires are unidirectional or not: unidirectional, no tire rotation, not unidirectional swap rears with rears, front with front.

Thanks for that info bro.

Now I am really confused with all the pictures I found on the web.

That pic of the two wheels look like a machined / chrome wheel face.

However, the picture I found of the wheels on the RX350 seems like a brush or machined one.

Which one is brighter, I like something similar to the smoke tail light with dark chrome or lower reflection of the light, since my FX is already pearl white.

EDIT: Option #3  (The spokes might look skinny in 22" on FX - This is the from Asanti)

Programable TPMS

I will find out from Lexani. I don't know if the TPMS will fit on it. Anyone knows any programmable TPMS available to work with the stock computer?

I believe Tire Rack sells TPMS that you can clone the ID's with a reset tool make by ATEQ.

I have purchesed new rims TPMS and tires along with the re-set tool.

Will let the list know how it works

I am going to pull the trigger on one set of these (Sorry I am copying your wheel Bert. But theses are too beautiful to resist :tongue:)

Iforged Sprint - 22"
Textured Black Wheel Face
Chrome Lip - 4"

sideSprint.jpg

However, I am kind of stuck on choosing the width and offset. My goal is to have these wheel flush with the FX. I don't know if I should go with 22x10 with offset 35 or 22x9.5 with offset 35. It's about 5mm differences in the wheel extension, but I don't know if that is going to make a lot of differences with 285/22/40 tires. I have searching, some said 30mm will be flush and some said about 1". I know it is only a small difference. I just like it to be precise.

Also, I don't know if I should go with 2 piece or 3 piece construction. The pricing difference is about $150 per wheel additional for 3 piece. But what is the major difference? Will the look be different? Iforged did not tell me directly, but they said both 2 and 3 pieces are "roughly" the same look, so that kind of worries me.

Can anyone give some suggestions? Any inputs are welcome and much appreciated. :.smile:
