SexualChocolate's Photo Thread

Ok here are the photos. Please excuse my house as I am still remodeling/building. The others were destroyed in the hurricane and I bought this to fix up instead of living on the coast and losing everything again.

Over the last couple days I added the following items:
Invidia Gemini catback with the single wall titanium tips
H&R Springs
KYB GR2s/Excel
RotorPros front rotors and posi-quiet pads

Still to install:
Replace rock damaged fog lights
05+ sport headlights

Car was taken to a car wash (they didn't do such a great job as it was free lol). I also quickly mounted the exhaust so the tips are not straight lol.

Some concerns I have with the exhaust is that it hangs low. I love the ti tips but they are chipping on the edges already (at least the blue part seems to be coming off). Other than that I love it and will be addressing those problems with a trip to a custom exhaust shop to see what they can do and possibly powdercoating the tips black later on. Oh for future reference it does fit with the OEM hitch mounted.

H&Rs...love em. A slight bit more bouce but I think every FX needs these. KYBs replaced the shot OEM junk...so nothing to compare them to.

First of all thanks everyone for the nice comments! I know some of y'all are just being kind:wink:

Man you got that up quick - awesome ! any feedback on how you feel it sounds vs. oem ? performance changes ? loss of low-end ?

sounds Great ! - and looks great ! :tup:

It is definately louder than stock. From the inside you can hear it with all windows rolled up. It is not intrusive at all, more like a distant growl. There is a slight loss of low end torque, but we are talking under 2600rpm or so. Midrange is much fatter, and it pulls more eagerly towards the top end. At idle it is slightly louder than stock, but not much.

To be quite honest there are only 2 true dual systems that I know of for the FX. Between the two it's really a toss up. I like it and think it is a less costly alternative to get a custom mandrel bent system mocked. So all in all it is win win.

I know for a fact that it is too low though (pic below), and will have to address that eventually.

I think your tips are sitting exactly where they should in relation to your rear bumper grooves though your tips stick further out than my Q300 tips. If you're worried about the section of the tubes right behind the control arms, don't...if you can clear the front diffuser, you likely won't come across anything that'll hit them. Just think how much lower your Z4 (or other sports cars) sat and thus how much lower the exhaust was to the ground, Also, some FX's have a GT Spec rear lower brace and that sits below the pipes.

Well due to tread seperation on the 22" tires, today is the day...
Yokohama Prada Spec X being transferred to the local discount tire as we speak, they'll be installed this evening. Please excuse the lack of the center cap on the 22s.

22s will be for sale very cheap, without tires lol.
