Replacing Rotors - NEED HELP ASAP!

Okay, here is my problem.
I'm replacing all four rotors from Rotorpros, and the front rotors are fine. The diameter of the rear rotor inner hub is about 1 inch smaller than the stock rotors, so the emergency brake is getting in the way of the rotors fitting. Did anyone who bought rotors from rotorpros have this issue? Am i suppose to adjust the emergency brakes so that the rotors fit, or did he send me the wrong size? Does anyone know? I have the car on jack stand right now, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What are the part numbers? I wonder if I received yours and vice versa?

The ones I was supposed to get for the rears were (121.42078). The box that these rotors were in had this part number, but when I looked at the actual rotors, the part number was (121.42088). I talked to the guy that sold me the rotors (Richard) and he said that these rotors were for another car, so I don't think they got our rotors mixed up. Supposedly, there is only one size that fits the rear fx35/fx45 rotors for all years.

Before you jack up your car and take out your tires, calipers, caliper frames, and rotors, make sure you check the part numbers of your rotors! Stand up the rotors as they would fit on the car and roll the rotors and you'll see the part numbers on the thin hub. Painted rotors are a little more difficult to find. Also, my stock rear rotors were seized and it took very powerful wacks with a hammer to loosen it. I ended up damaging my stock rotors to get it out, so I had to get temporary blank rotors from Autozone until the right ones ship to me this week.

Here's the pic of my stock and the wrong rotors they sent me.
(You can also see the damage that the hammer did to my stocks...)

I really like the idea of black rotors i wonder how long that finish will actually old up?

The inner hub is supposed to last quite a while, because It is high-temp paint (zinc plating). The part that the brake pads come into contact with will burn off immediately after I bed-in the new brakes.

What a bad luck.

I bought 4 sets now and I haven't had any problems with any of them.

Yeah, these things always happen to me, so I actually wasn't too surprised.
He was nice enough to send a guy to me to bring 2 rear rotors from autozone, which he paid for.

Thanks for putting my mind at ease. I have not looked at the rotors/pads since I received them. I'll be installing the front (maybe the rear) on thursday if my friends are willing to tackle the extra burden lol.

Again thanks! Glad everything worked out!

I will. Hopefully it all goes smoothly....I may have just jinxed it lol.

Did you have any problems installing? My front rotors & pads installed fine and braking is great. I did my rears this weekend and noticed a few problems.

I noticed that the rear pad retainer did not have any pad return lever, meaning the brake pads do not get pushed back out when the brakes are not being applied. This meant that the pads were constantly touching the rotors, even with no brake pressure. I was like hmmm...

I also noticed that the brake pad shim covers from the OEM pads did not fit the hawk pads properly. But I just forced fit the shim covers and installed the pads and took it our for a test. The result... Really bad brake dragging and the outer part of the rotor was wearing alot more.

SO, I thought I didnt compress the pistons properly, so I compressed the pistons again, and it had the same brake dragging noise when the car is moving with no brake pressure. So I took everything apart and took out the shim covers, and now barely have brake dragging. But it still has a weird screeching noise, clicking noise only when I accelerate from a complete stop (between 5~ 10 mph) and the noise/clicking stops as the acceleration continues. I have no idea where this is coming from. Any mechanics or experienced fx owners know what may be causing this?

I hope your installs go much more smoothly. I must have taken out the wheel at least 8 times...

Didn't have to do the rears cause there is mucho pad left back there. Started pulling it apart only to discover the rotors are rusted on lol. So I said just leave it alone.

Man that sucks you are having so much trouble. This should be easy with a floating rotor. Maybe someone with more experience with the FX will be able to help.

Did you ever figure it out...I have to do the same thing really soon

The screeching noise is gone, now that I removed the shim covers and bedded the brakes again. The clicking noise...well, I took the wheels out again to inspect it and it seemed to be coming from the suspension or U-joins or something. I don't know too much about this, so not sure. Since I know now that it's not anything brake related, I'll just drive it as is and maybe take it to the dealer later. But everything brake related seems okay so you shouldn't have any problems if you've read this thread and the DIY thread thoroughly.
