the 09-10 FX35 exhaust is identical to the 08+ EX35 exhaust, starting from the cat. Meaning it's also identical to the G37 coupe. The only difference, like how the 03-08s were, is that the tips need to be extended on the FX35. I confirmed this in the service manuals of all 3 cars.

this is a groundbreaking discovery please post this as a new thread ASAP! a lot of the 2nd gen FX owners have been looking for exhausts so it is good to know you figured this one out!!!!
good job!!!

^^ I agree, i'm still a little hesitant to be the first to try seeing how i wasted like few bills on the flowmaster muffler that i end up not installing

Wait, has no one really made that connection yet about the exhausts being similar? I know when da mayor first posted the '09 exhaust I noticed it looked like the newer G/Z exhausts. Unless this was on the ORG.

My brother test-fitted his EX35 a while ago with Berk Technology's HighFlow Cat for the VQ35HR, and it was a perfect fit, meaning it should fit on the 09+ FX35 as well. The differences with the HFC are noticable, so I will probably be trying on a set in a few months. Will let you guys know the findings.

use catbcak exhaust for the g37 can be found in the 800$ range. i'm really tempt. when you say g37 you mean coupe right? check out some picture and spec g coupe and sedan exhaust is different? than there is exhaust for all VQ cars like 350z. which one or whicxh brand would be a sure fit? check out some picture and some of them look very very different from other brands.

Yea I meant the G37 coupe. The G37 sedan uses dual mufflers.

As for which brand, since the catback designs are identical, all the way down to where the hooks are, I'm sure any brand catback exhaust for the G37coupe / 370Z would fit the 08+ EX35, and in turn the 09+ FX35. It's just that tip problem that needs to be solved. I really don't like the idea of extending tips on aftermarket exhaust. It's 1) hard to line up to look right, and 2) the job probably won't be as clean as how it was produced in the first place.

how is the tip extending? it is chop off where it meets the pipe more pipe is welded on and the tip weld on the other end? if so shouldn't it be unnoticable unless someone bend up and look under the car or if its on a lift?

assuming the g37 exhausts work on the fx, would it have the same performance boost as if it were on the g37? theoretically of course i guess nobody can be absolutely sure until some1 dynos it. also is there any advantage to having HFC with out catback system or just is just a sound mod? raspiness? i'm such a noob but i'm trying to learn  i need to contain myself, rim first than exhaust.

any exhaust work plan for you baby glock?

Here are the diagrams. Notice that when the mufflers are at the same position, the tips on the FX extend farther out.

I see what you mean, what is part number 4? it look different in ex and fx.other than cosmetic issues will extending the pipe rise any other issue say lose in performance?

They're both dynamic dampers, just different shapes.

The Muffler tip probably has zero effect on anything except cosmetics.

So that damper prevents the muffler from rattling? Any plan date for ur hfc install? I'm getting really pump to do some perfromance mod to my baby.

Not sure, I would assume so? But my previous cars never had it so I can't confirm.

HTC probably January or February. My car isn't even done breaking in yet

Hey Globe. Did you ever do this?

The HFC on my brother's EX35 made it sound more racy but also more hollow, and at the same time giving it a sharper muffler tone. I'm actually pleased with how the factory muffler sounds right now, so for the moment being I'm going to pass on the HFC.
