escort passport 9500i rearview mirror mount

they use some timing system with lines on the road where they measure the time it takes you to get from point to point, do the math, and either pull you over for a ticket or send you one in the mail...I hate PA

In AZ they have all of these photo radar zones. They take a picture of your face and license plate and mail a ticket. Since it is not an official "arrest and release" no points on the license. Also, sending it by mail is means that the speeder has not been officially served so the ticket can go in the round file. Turns out that only 7% of such tickets get paid in AZ. Wish I knew that before my 17 over at 3 a.m. on the interstate.

how's you get a 9500i for $200?????????????????????????

great deal huh, it just save me yesterday from a 175$ ticket too. Brought it used off craigslist. doesn't come with box or manual but its in brand new condition. Had to drive far to pick it up but its the best deal I've seen anywhere online or off.

I partially did this modification. I hardwired a 9500ix with a black phone cord. I'm not using a blendmount. On an FX50 2010, the wires on the rearview mirror are Black, Gray, and Brown (aka. red/pink). Black is return or ground, Brown is 12v power I believe. With an invisicord, it goes Black to Black, Yellow to Brown. With the green and red wires in a RJ11 phone cord, it goes Green to Black, Red to Brown. This all matters in DC. I tried just adding solder to the wires, but phone lines are 24 gauge, tiny weak wires, and they didn't hold well. I added some pins, which you can find in scrap computer equipment, old cables, possibly speaker interconnects, or an electronic components or possibly hardware store. They insert by friction fit. If you go with the phone cord trick, I'd suggest trying to find 22 gauge phone wires. I had some trouble since taping the wires kept undoing that friction fit, so I skipped the tape. Probably needs longer pins -- no idea what Invisicord uses. Anyway, it's working, looks great.
