H&R or Eibach

I am looking for opinions. I would like to replace the springs on my 35 AWD. I have randomly seen opinions here and there about both spring set-ups. Looks like the H&R will give a little bit of a rake, dropping the front a little more than the rear. Eibach look less expensive. How different is the ride between the 2. Thank you for your input. :tup:

just got done saying this in another thread...but anyways

EIbachs are stiffer, and will drop you down a little more. (sportier look/feel)

H&Rs will drop you less but will be closer to stock ride-wise; not as stiff.

they are around the same price, so it really depends on what you want. sportier look/feel or a little more comfortable.

I have eibachs and recommend them
 
like stated many people love there eibach and many love H&R's. I love my Eibachs, slight stiffer ride but a lower drop as well, not as much but there is a difference, its all on what your prefer.
 
+1 on the Eibachs.

I never had H&R springs, but I think the Eibachs are no stiffer feeling than OEM. Immediately after installing them, I thought the ride was better than OEM. I always "hear" they are stiffer feeling, but haven't met anybody that has actually felt both of them and OEM to make a comparison.

turbocad drove my fx and has driven others' witht he H&R and commented that it felt a bit stiffer. i was already used to the sport suspension so it didnt get that much stiffer for me....

but yeah, go for the eibachs
 
This really shouldn't be a debate. Just pick whichever is easiest to get, and get that. I only got H&R's because they were local, and were like $150. Do I like them? Yes. Would I have liked Eibachs just the same? Yes. I know there are some minor issues such as snapping, and being able to cut them, but most people wouldn't even need to consider this.
 
From friends experience and from what I have read.
Eibachs-firmer sportier ride with a bit more drop.
H&R- a softer ride than Eibach and with less drop.

I have read and know people (in Infiniti G35s) that have had their springs break. These were Eibachs but they were also used in harsher climates where corrosive salts and that are used for the roads.

Personally I will be getting H&R for all of the above (and besides, I don't know if Eibach has plans yet for the 2nd Gen FX)
 
If your area snows a lot, then go for H&R. Otherwise, if you want lower go for Eibach. Even lower, cut spring or HKS or Apollo coil over. Or build one custom for yourself, like what turbo is doing.

I've been quiet on this topic, but I completely agree. Unless you know what you are doing, I would not use the phrase "do not try this at home."

You could not only compromise ride quality, but also safety. If you know what you're doing -- go for it, but I would be afraid someone might read this and think it's okay for them to just try it at home. E.g. not cold cutting the spring, cutting too short, etc...

I have H&R's and trust they have done their R&D and they do test each spring before going on the market.

My drop is more significant than others it seems, but I wouldn't drop it any more and my ride quality is OEM or better.
