First Year Wrap Up. The first year of ownership

did your magellan 1700 have an issue with turning off after afew minutes? Just installed one and notice that it turns off after 15 minutes or so...
 
Do you have it connected to a power source? I have no issues with mine turning off, but the battery does not last long without it being plugged in.

If it doesn't turn off, you'll have to put your key to the AC position and switch it to off again. I have to do it once in awhile.
 
Looks good!!! your interior looks great, something i would like to look into doing on mine also. how'd you get your wiring up to the factory screen?
 
Wow that's one of the nicest Fx's on the site, love the wheels as well, after seeing this mode you might have saved me about 5k. I'm looking for a used Fx right now and my girlfriend refused to get an 05 because of the orange screen. After seeing this I figure I can relocate the original screen and maybe stick an iPad where the stock screen goes... Might have to relocate the driver side air vent but I believe it's doable.

How complicated is it to relocate the original screen? I suppose it's just a question on longer wiring? Any info will be appreciated thanks
 
how much are you selling the custom overhead console I am interested and what back up camara did you get theres so many to choose from ebay
