um Houston ? Hello

A buddy of mine said they were having their G meet at memorial today too. Tolf him if he saw a red fx with chrome stockers to yell 'hey Jumbo!' Lol
 
I saw a couple of Gs and stopped by to say hi but those guys didn't stay long. They rolled in and then rolled out about 20 minutes later. They never saw the FX cuz it was at the other end of the parking lot. These were the only two pictures I took all day. Most of these cars seemed to be second, third, and fourth hand. There were a couple of decent builds, but nothing in the range of what I was looking for. In the photo with my FX there is a turbo charged V8 Explorer with the turbo mounted under the back bumper. Thing was too funny.

I hate to say it, but it looks like rice city. Reminded me of the Acura Integra I saw last Friday that was badged as an RSX. :laugh:
 
thats what I was told about H-I. actually, it went more like "HI is a bunch of ricers and idiot teens." lol. I don't know any of them nor have I ever been to one of their shindigs, so i cant say otherwise.
 
Rumors are mostly true. There were a scattering of older guys and we tended to gravitate towards each other. Nobody did or said anything stupid tho - I wouldn't call them a bunch of idiots - not from my impression anyway. I have no reason to hate on them. Anybody I walked up and talked to was friendly and respectful. They even started a touch football game in the field after the BBQ. I'd go to another meet, but next time I'd like to go with a couple guys I know - maybe represent three or four FXs? We'd stand out, that's for sure...

Depends on the meet. Older H-I peeps have/had much baller cars. I had an M coupe with Hamann bits sitting on 19" IForged wheels, Chuck had another M coupe that was AA A/C'ed on CCWs, Albert had a 9 second Viper (now owns an F430), Duy has quite a few rides (Cayenne Turbo, Z06, 8 sec 240SX, and many more I cannot think of), Powells has a 911TT that is pulling somewhere in the neighborhood of 600AWHP, a couple more 911s (princeton, Dr Joe, etc), Andy has several cars (M coupe, STi, S2K, 911 GT3RS), there are many many more...

Just depends on the meet. If you are looking for a different local crowd then check out HPD (houstonperformancedriving) online. But no local FXs will be able to keep up with their drives, unless they are going slowwww.

Funny y'all are talking about this. Here's an article from this month's Import Tuner magazine-

"One of the more popular styles that has been growing over the years is low offset wheels. Weather you call it flush, poke, gangsta stance or like Fatlace, "hellaflush", it comes down to running wheels with offsets as low as you can handle. The point is to get your rims to come right to the fenders. And if this consists of stretching tires out the way, all the better. Negative camber and fender rolling... not a problem."

I don't know who Fatlace is, but apparently Adam hangs out in the same circles. :laugh:
