YOu should see how the people who unload cars abuse them. I am pretty sure, that most of the our brand new FX35 had already seen redline, hard braking, and other sorts of abuses that would make our heart cringe. So in short, I think, the break in thing is pretty useless. Just drive it like how you would normally drive a car. How often do you really hit red line driving to and from work?
i remember 2 years ago when i took delivery of the fx35 there was a piece of paper in the car signed by some dude in japan. it read something on the lines of - before we shipped your car, we unleashed it on a track to made sure it didnt fall apart. I asked my dealer what this was about and he told me that every infiniti, before reaching america, has been driven aggressively by a 'professional' to ensure quality and performance. that was convincing enough for me not to not perform a break in period lol
