LED Fog Lights

leds lights would scatter all over the road i do not think you would be able to get any light either hitting the floor aswell. it would be bright

Hey, I am planning to get LED Fog Lights instead of HID. Any recommendations? Thanks.

The ones available right now (LED bulbs) don't throw light far enough. HIDs right now are far superior in lumen output. I would stick with HID's.

I agree the LED fog lights that are out now are pretty weak compared to a HID setup.

i just installed piaa led fogs last week. if you want brightness then look elsewhere. they are about 1/4 - 1/3 as bright as oem fogs and you don't get the usual awesome led effect because the fog housings are reflector type and has a piece that blocks the light head on. i am keeping them in because these leds only draw a few watts instead of the normal 35W x 2.

you can just use MS Paint, if you're using a PC. If you're using a mac, i am sure there is something you can do to cut out the plate number. I don't think you need to download a new program.

who cares about having your plate up i usually dont blur mine out...lol
lets see those led fogs..ive heard they are dim.

yea they are dim but ya know wat? the 1st time i turned on my stock fogs i thought they were dead cuz i couldn't see any visible light from the drivers seat. these leds are alot less bright but i think i can live with it.

You should try out HID's in your fogs -- it might change your mind. I can definitely notice a difference with my fogs on or off because the HID's throw out so much light, especially because it's in a halogen housing.

Driving in the backroads with no street lights, you can really notice the difference.

DON'T INSTALL LED's!!! I learned. No light output and then they did not fit properly and ended up having enough water in the fog light housings that you can put a gold fish in there. I'm sure some of you remember seeing all the water I had in there. Just install HID's.

 i always try to drive on the darker roads because i love seeing how much difference the HID fogs make.
