Yeah man I definitely "felt" something after they broke in....but most likely placebo effect. They sound great especially paired with the nismo. However, my car is LOUD....like...loud lol.

yeah man I love them. They are loud at WOT but not too bad idling or taking it easy...
the only problem is that at low rpms at slow speeds, they seem to make a metallic-tinny noise. Not rattle, but more like something is loose. When the spring comes around I am going to get all the connections looked at to make sure there is no leak or anything, and I already emailed KINETIX (with no response) about how they are making this noise....

If your FX has seen a winter or is more than a few years old then the cat removal isn't too simple....and to access the bolts more easily you need to go through the engine bay... it's kind of a PITA to get the old ones out.

most things from the vq35s fit the vq35s in the FX...the FX is closesly related to the 350z so many htings swap right out.....like the cats

Just make sure it's the VQ35DE as opposed to the VQ35HR.

i'm good to go on that issue...I picked up a set of Kinetix HFC i'm going to install with the stock exhaust system. I'm curious to see what difference it will make. I'm doing this knowing it will get a little louder. Has anyone done this yet?

I have kintetix HFCs
mine have been having some slight issues I was going to strart a thread about....I think the guts inside the HFC are dilodged because it's making a noise while I drive as if there were a leak...but there is no leak apparently. ALready called kinetix with no response. Aslo, they are supposed to not throw CEL lights...they do. I may as well switch to test pipes haha

second nismo? I've only ever had the one muffler....just changed the piping.
I installed them after I had the nismo on there already for half a year...the stock cats were a b**ch to get off, and we ended up just cutting the bolts to remove the stock ones...then we put the kinetix in place....they were fine ofr a while but after i broke them in it sounds like there is a leak, but after I got it hecked they said there iusnt one...so I think the internals got screwed up from heat exposure/long distance driving/cold-to-hot driving.... and they set off the CEl every now and then....the exhaust note is awesome but the noise coming from the cat (i think its the driver side) is annoying......
and I called kintetix a few times with no call back. I was considering switching to test pipes to get rid of the noise but keep the volume...
p.s. if oyu look at my youtube page, and go by the titles, you can see the change in exhaust note the HFC's made....

People seem to have alot of problems with HFC's I'm starting to notice. I feel like it's only the FX's and G's though.

I'm shooting for the "i got lucky" on that problem. Still, i'm gonna put them on to see what they'll do. I'm to curious at this point not to and they were only $160. i can always take them off and go back to stock
