Soon to be owner of a 05 FX35 AWD

Hey guys, been looking through the forums and started loving the FX35. I've gone from a 97 Mercury Mountaineer to a 91 Toyota MR2 and will purchase a 05 FX35 next week hopefully after I sell the MR2. I found this FX35 at a dealership and it's Infiniti Certified for $25k. Definitely will be negotiating the price with them. The car comes with the touring package. The only thing I didn't like was the 18" rims...would much rather have the 20's. The mod bug has bitten me ever since I saw the car. So I look forward to all the mods that I can do and is available.
one question...do you guys think a 05 FX35 AWD with 48000 miles with the touring package is worth $25k. I was thinking about negotiating it down to almost $21-$22k.

another thing to fxlr8 if you do read this thread...do you have step-by-step instructions on how you did you double din setup by relocating the stock orange screen to the bottom? im trying to make that my first mod on the FX.

No, I think for $25k you can definitely find yourself in an '06. Especially considering that car doesn't even have the sport or navi package, I wouldn't pay more than $21k for that car.
 
for 25K you should be able to get a newer FX with less miles and probably Nav too. look around for at least a few days deals pop up all the time
 
yeah, i have to look around for other dealerships because there's only two infiniti dealerships around my area. i wouldn't mind the drive if i could get a 06 for $25k. thanks for the info.
 
Just talked to the dealership today and they said they would try to find a 06 model for around 25k since they offered to look for one. i would definitely try to negotiate that price also. the salesperson definitely sounded like he needed to sell a car or something since it's getting to the end of the month and close to the end of the year.
 
Welcome to iS! It's worth waiting for the FX you want at a good price than just getting one ASAP.
 
im just really trying to buy it at an infiniti dealership since i just can't come to trust small dealerships for some reason.
 
you can always try Carmax, I have had a good experience with them. also Infiniti will honor the factory warranty from other dealers and private owners (transferable).
 
Yea man keep looking around. That's kinda bit much for an 05 with only the touring package. I got my 07 with everything off a lease turn in for $25 and change. Just gotta haggle the sales guy down. Try to go at the end of the month because thats when the sales guys have to meet their end of the month qouter. Thats what i did and i got a good amount off.
 
yeah, won't be buying the car till around the 26th or so. lucky im selling my car the end of next week. it's just falling right into place for me. hopefully i'll be sitting in an 06 or 07 for ~25k.
 
Did you find your vehicle yet? No worries, start buying mods now and store them until you find the right car =)
