2009 FX Moldings Painted !!

i didn't hate the black trim as much as you did before, but, i think it came out pretty awesome the way it is now. nice!
 
Beautiful.........looking like a cayenne killa right now........iz there anybody else out there that also have had this done.......i would love to see different colors
 
looks good, for white cars though i would do the back bumper different. The body line above the exhaust tips i would've kept it black. just my opinion... looks nice though

I wonder if someone is able to photoshop of what i am thinking...
 
Looks fantastic. I did the same on my 07 FX this past summer (same color as yours). Haven't regretted it a single day!
 
damn, very nice. looks good. looks like you have a body kit. you should debadged it for a cleaner look.
 
It looks great! Every time I see one of these done, I want to do the same.

Definitely let us know how it holds up to road debris - I worry about chipping.

Hey Lords47 - I got the idea from YOU!!! Before I picked up my 09 FX, I knew I wanted to paint the moldings and started to search the forums...and I saw what you did along with a great write up of what to expect ($'s, autobody shop etc..) and decided to take the plunge! I have not regretted it a bit. Thanks for sharing the idea in the first place.

Wow....you got me! I did not even think about the base of the sideview mirrors....I'm going to go back to the body shop and have them photoshop what that might look like...and hope they can give me a deal as a repeat customer!! Thanks for the perspective!

1700? WOW, i got a quote from my local bodyshop and got the price 1300. I was going to do it but then a stupid kid rear ended me at the stop light. Very minor scratches but that got me thinking...What if I spend the money and I get rearended again? So i left it as is and kid gave me 800 because he didn't want to go through insurance. I didn't mind, I left it as is and put that money towards the car payment.

wow it came out good man 5 stars!! i cant wait to get mine done lol the only difrens is that i dont have the mudflaps. how long did it take to finish the job?

Had the same job done on my Mojave Copper last year. Check out my profile page for a picture (was a quick pic with an iPhone so not great, but I will post more). I just found this thread so I'm just now realizing that a few others have done this. Let me know what you think...
 
Very very nice. And what a difference. Makes the car look 20k more expensive (bot that its a cheap ride :wink:)
