yeah i think she took the FX for a alignment.. she told me that the rear wheels are off by 1.7 and that the mechanic did as much as he could.. i bought the kit but i havent install it yet. probably that was the shop she took the FX to.

she kept mentioning that your FX was LOW and the wheels looks great specially with the HUGE tires.. i was like yep.. cant wait to see it in person too.

turbocad6 would i be able to pass by your shop earlier tomorrow? My wife made plans with her peeps and now I have to travel to the poconos before noon. I know that you have work to do so I would understand if you couldn't accommodate me!!!!
 
FYI: it has been confirmed that the timing bump cannot be done on my '08 45. The cipher software could not detect the ecu. It saw the BCM and another module but that's it. We used what we assumed was the most current software version posted in the original thread. This, plus the failed attempt made at the dealer makes me think it really isn't possible on the last few years of the 45's.
 
That suck! Sorry to hear that bro.. Maybe they come up with a new sofware soon that will be able to fix this problem.
 
Was a great meet, rain prevented us of a photo session. I believe 5 members (1 350Z friend) showed up. All +2 mods when well.

Phillip - silver fx
Ed -red fx
Eric - black fx
John718 - white fx
soon - black fx
Oleg - 350z
turbo (of course being the host/tech)

not sure if I missed anyone/fx.
 
Sounds like a great time! Too bad I had to bail on this meet. Thanks again to turbo for hosting and FX45Beast for the loaner program!

everything went well, only problem I had was the instructions don't say the car has to be running but it does have to be running or the +2 won't hold... without the car running it'll still tell you sucess when you do the +2 but then when you go back in & check it's still at base timing, didn't notice this till like the 3rd one & had to go back & redo the first ones, then check & confirm it held, so yeh, car must be running.

we did a total of 6, 5 fx's & I had a freind with a 350z who I also did... cipher should ship out monday to canada...

also fyi, I had the +2 done on my fx over a year ago & have since reset the ecu several times & had my battery off several times. I hooked the cipher up to my car to see if the +2 was still there & it was, so this +2 is not volitable & won't just go away on you for just a dead battery or an ecu reset...

no, yours did get the mod, yours was already running & I of course left it running, was outside in the driveway. I also checked yours after cause it was the first one I did, & yes, it held the +2, the ones I did saturday I didn't have running cause it was raining so I pulled them in the shop & didn't want to leave running in the shop, first 2 I saw sucess on the screen & figured it was done but the third I decided to confirm & saw the problem... you got it for sure...
 
Oh great thanks bro! My girl hasn't being driving my FX much so she said she hasn't feel any different.

But the way she drives it... She wouldn't feel any different anyways lol.!!
 
John, what OS are you running on your laptop? XP or Vista? I read I it may have problems running on Vista (I know about running w/ enhancements off, compatibility mode etc ) ... just curious if you ran into any of that.
 
Hey Turbocad6 at what time are you shipping the cipher out tomorrow??? I didn't get to meet with you guys on Saturday because of other engagements so I was wondering if I can run by your shop tomorrow before you send it out??? I will pay for the shipping cost as well the MOD if you can hold it for a couple of extra minutes.

mrzorilla, I'll be at the shop around noon & I probably won't get it to the post office till ~3:30-4:00 or so, not sure what time the post office closes, call me if you wannqa hook it up, I'm fine with it as long as we can get it done in time...
