Need Advises on Fog Light

Hey Guys:

Just got into an car accident while dropping some electrical components to some guys at work today for a rush project. Some damages to the front bumper and passenger side fender. (No compensation from my company and not even a word from the boss...) 2 accidents in 4 months since I am with this company... sigh.. :frown:

Since the bumper needs to be removed for some paint job and body work. I am looking into changing my OEM fog light into Project fog light w/ or w/o halo ring. The bulb will be probably like 3000K or 5000k yellow HID. What do you guys think on a white FX?

Since in Canada, the DTRL needs to be on anything when the car is on by law, I think I probably will not need a relay to control the halo ring. Just power it up when the fog is on. I will probably need bigger fuses for the additional load from the halo.

Since I am going to use the yellow HID, I guess I will need to find a place to mount the ballast.

If you guys know some decent products, please share the information. Any advises and information is welcome and must appreciated. :.smile:

If your going for looks, I think do it. 3000K is almost pure yellow. 5000K is pure white.

But if your looking for performance/output these do not work well. I believe DR.2K had the projector halo's on his FX before, and didn't like the output. He actually switched back to the stock fog lights with HID.

Yeah. The halo LED light output was pretty weak as did the projector style fog light. The light output with a HID kit on the OEM reflective fog lights are much brighter.

I installed the 4300k from JDM and they seem slightly whiter than my stocks that are 4300k, i think its cause of the brand difference. Now i want to order couple more bulbs from JDM so my headlights can match dead on.

Sorry to hear about the accident, that sucks dude.

I vote for the 3000k. JDM look ftw lol. I'm totally bias cause thats what I have on mine.

3000k would look hot on the white car. that is assuming you don't have the OEM hid. 5000k hid contrast very nicely with the bright yellow fog.

Nice pic jbaker lookin sharp. White hair i have a white fx and i have 6000k top and bottom. Don't like that yellow fog light look. Looks cheap to me. Makes it look like your bulbs are so old they have that almost dead yellow look.
